New gen consoles are supply constrained (it’s been near impossible to get your hands on any of the new consoles since launch in the UK), and the sales of the last gen consoles obviously slowed down in the wake of a new gen of gaming starting

The Switch, being a console with a lot of life left in it, with barely any supply issues (excluding the first couple months when lockdowns began last year) and strong exclusives releasing (Animal Crossing) would obviously sell bucketloads

Anyway! Great to see it continue to kill it in sales, would have never imagined they would come back in the UK market after the horror show that was the Wii U or the flat faded 3DS

Unlike Japan, both Sony and Microsoft had shipped massive amounts of hardware units for PS5 and XSX/S consoles.

Still, Nintendo had 8-9 months headstart when the lockdown started. Difficult to overcome that difference.
