As a frame of reference, the last time I recall a notable Nintendo fangame DMCA, it was AM2R - a Metroid 2 remake.
Does this mean Nintendo's actually got a Pokemon FPS as a concept they wanna work on? Probably not, but there's gotta be a reason they're going after this and not all the pixiv smut fanart, or YouTubers milking anime nostalgia for cheap hits.

Not many companies curate and care for their IP like Nintendo does. It takes a little fun out of it but I understand their intentions.
