If they can have the masculine swagger, I don't see why not. Proper femme fatales, dames in distress, moustache twirling bad guys, all that stuff.

I'm watching SG-1 on amazon right now and sadly its a low rez DVD quality transfer. Not sure if this will have the nudity though, not gotten to that part yet. It's also in 16:9 aspect which I think would be a cropped image? I used to have this, S1 anyway, on DVD, not sure if I still do.
Still such an interesting riff off the film. Straight "TV actor" recasting of most of the characters, but keeping Skaara which seemed so novel at the time.
BTW, amazon is showing it uncut, so enjoy

I realize you're not asking me, specifically, but: Yes! I just watched the 1990 film last night (inspired to do so after sort-of getting back on board with Spider Noir). I love the original, but would like to see a somewhat more-hardboiled, less Batman '89-influenced (though, I love that film, as well) version of the character/stories onscreen. Also revisited Sin City and its sequel over the past few days. Can you imagine a Tracy film in that style? I can. Holy shit. Sign me up.

Thankfully it always was 16:9 but the visual quality omg
, watch the pilot on Netflix a few weeks ago and its very poor visual look to it.I've got the Stargate SG-1 Children of The Gods Final cut which was a DVD remaster of the original episode changed to suit the tone of the rest of the show and it looks 100% better. A TNG remaster for the show would be a god send.

If DS9 is never going to get an HD transfer then the likes of SG-1 can suck it in DVD quality forever too.
I do kind of want to do an SG-1 rewatch though, I don't think I've seen an ep since the finale aired. As much as I loved Farscape, Ben Browder and Claudia Black weren't enough to make the later seasons good. I remember the show being solidly good up until the Syfy years even though I didn't hate... I don't know his name in the show but somehow remember that he was played by Corin Nemec. Anyway, didn't hate the Nemec character. I think there was a pretty funny Pierre Bernard's Recliner of Rage about the cast juggling there...

DS9 is in the exact same boat, the DVD quality is terrible. 
You can see in the documentary the life that springs from it when its remastered.
Season 9 and 10 of SG-1 were a bit of a slog, the Carmalot lore never landed and the Ori took too long to get going. Once the Ori were up and running it picked up again but some very poor stories in season 9 killed the momentum (the mid season story and final episode were really poor imo)
