Netflix approves NC-17 cut of 'Blonde' (Ana De Armas as Marilyn Monroe)

For those unaware, there was some controversy earlier this year when reports surfaced surrounding the biopic. Apparently, some decision-makers at Netflix were unsure if hosting the movie was a good idea. Those reports claimed that Dominik's film was just too sexual. If these new developments are to be believed, this would signal that there has been a change of heart for the massive platform.

Huge Netflix subscription growth incoming?

Ana is an interesting choice, how does she fill out as Marilyn? Hollywood magic if she comes off as curvy but she's got the salaciousness down pat. Hopefully it's not glossed over spotlight crap and more dark and moody with addiction and all as her life was fairly incredible e.g. married very young, orphan, female production company owner back then, died of overdose etc.

The NC-17 is probably due to a scene where she's finger cuffed by the Kennedy bros.

Change of heart? How? Netflix is softporn central. Anyone remember 365 days, or what it was called?
‘Some decision-makers’ is a code for one guy that does a bad job so he occupies his time with things like that. On every team there is at least one person like that.

Now now, don't be coy. It's called "120 Days of Sodom," and you know it. :messenger_winking:

But yeah, 365 is also very sexual. And if you don't know what 120 Days is, I recommend keeping it that way.
I haven't seen the movie, but I was unfortunate enough to start reading the book without knowing what it was first.

I didn't get very far.
