I miss the quick link at the bottom of the page on mobile to back to the parent forum. I know I can use the top bar, but still.

One small thing I noticed, but the poster's "Joined" date no longer appears in the pop-up when you click on their name when using the Classic Dark theme.

Maybe I'll have to switch to this new Modern Dark theme...

Nice features. Can't wait to see what else you have in store for 2019.

In particular, thanks for adding some crunchy features for us Bookmarkers.

Did you guys changed the layout or something?
I am liking the new look, all seems sharper more focused
Classic dark here.

great update. fast turnaround from the 2.0 one. still digging into all the features.

i am noticing that on the main page the Top Trending Threads still features topics started from people I have ignored. Clicking on the story treats it like opening an ignored post where it doesn't show any of their contributions. Nothing huge just a heads up that it is still showing their stories at all even though it hides it from the main forum view.

Why was the link at the bottom pointing back to the current forum you are in removed? I see the style chooser has been put in there. It was easier to scroll down on the thread and at the end you can simply click on the link to go back to forum front page. Now you have to scroll back up to do that or press back on the browser.

This should now be fixed, reactions on the classic themes will now display on the right similar to the modern themes.

Would make more sense if the buttons and the reactions were inverted, otherwise the button mouse-over overlaps the text. Like on the old forum version:

If it's not possible, this is fine too. Thanks a lot :)

Great work guys. Loving the new features.

Any word on the ability to hide avatars/images like we could do on old GAF? I'm not sure if I'm just an old man yelling at a cloud at this point, but it made everything so much better for browsing @ work.

This issue should now be resolved on both Classic Light and Classic Dark themes.

Didn't there use to be a button at the bottom of the page to redirect you back to whatever sub forum you were in?

There was a bug that caused this to not be displayed.

The button at the bottom of the page on Modern themes, that takes you back to the forum list, should now be back.

There isn't an option to hide all images, but there is an option to hide all avatars. You can set this in your account preferences page.

I wish you could obfuscate/fuzzy image spoilers like you can with the new in-line spoilers for text. I had this brilliant idea about taking a nude picture and taking out the naughty bits and replace them with food images that had about the same colors. Had split all parts of the images and was ready to post it... but then I noticed that it's only a text feature. :messenger_tears_of_joy: All that work for nothing.

Anyways, great update.

Oho, here we go!

Push notifications are nice but nope nope nope I already have my eyes glued to GAF enough of the time anyway, let alone with beeps and dings to drag me back in!

Reactions have been super fun on the discord, but I have to wonder if they're going to work well for the forum format given how... vehement, disagreements can be sometimes. It'll be interesting to see, since the arguments to be made around it are like advanced versions of the ones around likes. Prime concern I suppose is that you can't savagely deconstruct an emoji reaction like you can a post :pie_winking:

Edit: Oh, interesting- it's only a (mostly positive) subset of emoji rather than allowing the user to pick from the whole kit and caboodle. A wise choice, I think that works.

Speaking of, the new emoji menu doesn't look like the screenshots do for me- it's a vertical list rather than a grid:

But OH BABY table support :messenger_face_screaming: finally I can bore my fellow gaffers with lengthy spreadsheets! Praise be to the based admin team.
That'll be dead handy for OTs and other data-heavy stuff.

Inline spoilers are swanky, but I feel like just having the blur effect is quite indistinct. As pretty as it is, I'd probably prefer your old-school black censorship blockout here.

Image improvements are glorious. That'll make tidy layout a lot easier without having to resize stuff manually.

Overall, top work :messenger_grinning:

I'm not able to replicate this issue, but others have reported it as well. Does it do this in all themes? Try it in modern / classic / light / dark if you can and let me know it's broken in one, or all. That'll help me track down the issue. Thanks!

Thank you for all the great work guys. I really love this forum and everyone here, even those I disagree with .... Well except the alt-Sony people.
J/k - I love them too. 💝

These updates are great! The modern theme is definitely a lot smoother now. I see myself switching between both to keep things fresh.

Also, I’m not sure if you guys are aware of this but for some reason the red notification number does not appear when using the classic theme. Is this intentional? If not it’s the only change I would really like to see for the Classic Theme.

It appears to be fine in all themes except for Modern Dark, where I can reproduce it consistently. I'm using Firefox, for what that's worth.

First resetting me to Modern Light following the update, and now this! It's a theming conspiracy I tell you! :messenger_winking:

In the preferences i can't change the filter for the search option like before. Now shows the results by relevance:messenger_face_screaming::messenger_loudly_crying:, please let me change to order date by default.

Are you still having this issue today? If so, could you describe in better detail how your preferences are set, and what you're experiencing (or expecting to experience).

I've tested this functionality through and through and it appears to be working as intended.

Sorry for the trouble! I was able to get this fixed (I think) so give it a try and let me know. :messenger_halo:

I can't decide if 'triggered' is a good thing or a bad thing.... do I use it as an 'unlike' button, or as a 'you have my sword' type button.

I loved this so much I figured we needed to make it a reality.

Inline image spoilers should now work (as soon as our CSS cache updates!) Try to keep from posting stuff so naughty you'll get banned.

So far I am using "Triggered" very tongue in cheek, like jokey.

To use it seriously, would I be saying the post is triggering me or would I be saying the poster is triggered?
Hm, good question. I always interpreted it as the emotion of the viewer.

e.g.

I like your post.

I love your post.

I think your post is thoughtful.

I think your post is lit.

I think your post triggered me.

I was going to make some ascii porn art and then spoiler blur the naughty parts, but I gave up because it's too hard to manually draw text dicks, and copy pasta from other sites didn't carry over the proper formatting.

I think this is as "naughty" as I'll ever do it (I mean, I don't think it's over the line, as she could just as well be wearing a bikini. If not I'll take the ban like a champ.) and probably the only time as well. It'll be interesting in lots of ways, as long as you're creative. Thanks so much for fixing it.
