Naughty Dog made female characters less feminine to be trans friendly (No Spoilers)

I have and they don’t exist.

Dina has the same body as ET. And even an uglier face.

Clearly you havent. Besides Abby and the Helga looking enemies from the scars, all women have feminine bodies with a bit of muscles because in case you didnt know, doing hard physical work every single day, like having enough force to melee down a zombie daily does tone your body quite a bit.

damn look at all these male looking characters

Funny thing is literally all of them look more on the manly/serious & unnatractive side, so thanks for helping my point with examples.

Women in the world of TLOU aren’t allowed to dress sexy or have sexy attributes, at the very best they are somewhat athletic and thin (big boobs don’t exist except if you are a 250 lbs cow).

It’s obvious Neil makes her female characters purposely ugly, not only physically but in the way they dress too. He already has outlined how he introduces third wave feminism and Anita Sarkeesian based politics through character design alone. And it shows.

The thing that baffles me is that you all can look at that world and be okay with the women in it. They are all the same exact type of third wave feminism fanservice design.

How about you play the game and find em yourself. Its a post apocalyptic game everyone is starving and trying to survive and im sorry but Dina is thicc and has a nice ass🤷‍♂️ theres girls with big chests and asses in Jackson. Just stop with your fud bro dont like the game? Don't play it but if your not gonna play it don't speak on it.

I've finished it. Why are you getting so worked up and defensive? Kind of laughable really.

I didn't follow this thread because I didn't want to be spoiled but obviously i saw the title and kept a look out while playing the game. Seemed like every female character was flat chested so I'm genuinely curious if this is true or not.

It's not a deal breaker or anything, at most it's dumb. I'd probably give the game a 7, I didn't love it but the seemingly political female designs isn't why.

"it's unrealistic Abby is so buff... by the way the women in this aren't keeping their bodies/faces attractive enough for me and don't dress sexy."

I thought feminists said women dress sexy because they want to for themselves, not for male attraction or something as evil and despicable.

The game begins in the winter, not to mention I'm not sure why survivalists in a post-apocalypse would be dressing very sexy regardless of the time of year. Was anyone dressing sexy in part 1?

I mean it is unless she was pounding the fuckin roids.

All the steroids would have been long expired by that time.

Cuckmann already “explained” why Abby is unnaturally big for a woman. He literally said that there is a gym and that’s about it.

A gym and a burrito based diet.

Abby doesn’t seem to be dressed for winter.

And women suddenly stopping to be preocupied by their attractiveness is deeply unrealistic. You either live in one of the safe communities and therefore you live a life quite similar to the one in the present, or you either live outside in the open and as a woman your best chance of survival is to find the most powerful male you can. You will not have the luxury of thinking about feminism when what you need is protection and someone providing for you.

Either way, women are still going to try and be the more attractive they can. Doesn’t matter how much feminists hate it, sex and attraction is an intrinsecal part of humanity. Women will not cease to be sluts in the post apocalypse, if something, they will double down.

And I guess hot women will exist too, but somehow they seem to have dissapeared from the surface of earth in the world of TLOU.

Maybe the parasite goes for the most fertile especimens first and they are all zombies now? That would be an explanation as to why every female character in TLOU seems taken out of a third wave feminist TUMBLR comic strip. They would be literally the leftovers of the female population.

Yeah, that makes so much sense it’s my headcanon now.

Explains why she's legit bigger than Chyna who was on roids. Oh wait...

The only reason you want attractive people in video games is so you can jerk your tiny white incel cock. Go watch porn. Ugly people are just fine to look at.

Um I have a beautiful/sexy Latina gf. I have no issues attracting women. Still would rather see women portrayed as feminine and not some unrealistic bodybuilder that's bigger than the majority of men. It's not normal and is not realistic.

I really do not like when people use that type of argument. Obviously we can handle all this non stop idealogies being shoved down our throats,it has been part of pop culture and games for almost half a decade. It has gotten to the point of being annoying and concerning since it targets audiences and it a sort of social engineering. But what do I know? I just miss the days of arguing on what is good and bad about games, instead of crying about why a voice actor doesnt match the ethnicity of an imaginary character or their sexual orientations.

Literally everybody in the game is hit a couple times with the ugly stick. Have you seen Troy Baker and Jeffrey Pierce (Tommy)?

It’s the females the ones who are weaponised to fit the third wave feminism correct portrayal of women. They all fit the same pattern.

Men, ironically, can be quite hot in the game. Which adds to the hypocrisy.

I won't argue, it is stupid. I dont think it matters much broadly in TLOU, but Dina is supposed to be the sassy, hot girl of Jackson - hence having both guys and girls wanting her. At least that's the vibe in the game. Shrinking her boobs down seems a bit silly with that in mind

I can't believe they think they made a mirror to Joel in Abby. They took the same furrowed look and strong arms and applied it to a girl, but just in case you thought she was a chubby, we made sure she always wears a tank-top.

The result: An angry duck that looks like a freak.

Exactly.

Noselina given the hot girl role is only possible in a feminist setting.

Like how in the Saved By The Bell reboot the hot girl of the school is this goblin:

josie_totah.jpg

It’s only possible in a very political setting.
Her character reference is pretty fit.they definitely hit her with the ugly stick a few too many times

Though I liked Dina overall. She is a good character

I guess some companies need to find out that being woke is bad for business for themselves. Pleasing a few idiots on twitter is just a bad idea.
thing is, it's not bad for business, like , at all.
gives them good publicity from people that appreciate the representation effort and visibility from the ones who do not.

and even considering sales, good products (or perceived good products, naughty dogs games are not my thing) still sell a lot

I think it's a fair criticism. If everyone is reverting to primitive conditions, that resembles our ancestral heritage, where for millions of years, women relied on the protection of men -- not solely, of course, but for a large part, because of differences in physical size and muscle. In order to secure that protection and survive, they had to make use of their physical attractiveness and femininity. So if you're going for realism, it's not realistic for women to lose their femininity and sex appeal in a survival setting. If anything, it would be amplified. You'd expect women to become more fit (which would add to their appeal), but not androgenous or de-sexualized/de-feminized.

If you're not going for realism, then okay, never mind.

Maybe, I don't think the silent majority will keep taking this nonsense though. Look at these last few weeks, cancel culture is out of control.

The thing is most men dream of a zombie apocalypse scenario where things return to survival of the fittest and we stop sitting in cubicles and shit. They all know how they'd survive it and why they'd be great at doing so but if the women aren't attractive and submissive it kinda ruins their fantasy a bit, I mean, what am I hoarding goods and killing zombies for? Some lesbians? You aren't even skimpily dressed! Post-apocalypse fantasy officially ruined.

Meaning women are weak and need the protection of men? They need to depend on men? They would need to design hot women for a post apocalyptic game, instead of sending pregnant women to the battlefield because they need to prove how strong they are?
Not gonna happen in 2020.

Dina has probably the most realistic female body in any videogame, unless all you want is victoria secrets models in every single game, which doesnt make sense.
The realistic body is the one she has in real life, she has big boobs, they removed them, not realistic.
Use a different real life model if you hate boobs so much.

I agree they shouldnt have changed her boobs, but her body is proportional and very realistic regardless, unlike other games.

You know those Victoria Secrets models are real and not CGI, right?

And several common next door girls have great bodies. Boobs are still a thing in the world. I assure you. Go outside. lol
