Some bad some good.

Wind talkers with nic cage - never saw it tbh.
Enemy at the gates - pretty good considering it was British made and not having the same level of budget a Hollywood movie would have.

Gladiator 2000 after the success of this we saw a slew of ancient epics which alot turned out to be bad.

Matrix 1999 while not necessarily copycat movies trying to cash in, we saw the techniques shoved into movies.

Marvel super hero success saw many non marvel constantly trying to cash in, mostly being awful. They chased their own trend too hard in the end. As it ended up being awful.

There was only one scene with 3d in mad max! I love that movie so luckily I had seen it in non 3d early in the week. But honestly 3D started getting into everything and it's mostly a gimmick

When Pulp Fiction became a huge success, there were a ton of independent - crime- witty - violent copycats. It was a pretty interesting phenomenon, as it almost bootstrapped a new genre during a very short period of time (truth or consequences, things to do in denver, 2 days in the valley, thursday, american strays, clay pigeons, big hit, etc.)

I am unsure what movie did the reverse order / out-of-order story telling (so not simply "in medias res") but Memento (1999) did it masterfully (using two threads moving in opposite directions that are joined in the end) -- and then there were movies following which seemed to be the result of some kind of explosion in the editing room, throwing up inane sequence of scenes just for the shake of the gimmick.
