As I said in the other thread... NetherRealms and MK11 can get fucked with their double standards.
NEVER EVER GIVE IN TO TERRORISTSI honestly understand where they’re coming from. They don’t want any drama especially as you said nowadays everything is offensive. So yeah, don’t care bout that as long as I’m going to get that smooth tasty animation
Seriously, fuck all this "faux" outrage culture and just play the fucking game. You don't like it, don't play or buy it. Damn.
I think it says more about you when you have a problem with the clothes the women wear in the game
Also man your post was really hard to read what's with all the double negatives and the jargon.
"haters?" Really?

Just the ugly ones. While a number (and, rather, quite a number) does, I certainly wouldn't call all women on it.
"How dare this developer make up their own mind about the way they choose to portray women! We only defend a developer's artistic decisions when they validate our bias."
There is so much mental gymnastics going on that it boggles the mind.
Some common misconceptions about moves like this:
1. Not putting a woman in a bikini while she fights is not the same as being afraid of sexuality.
2. Not putting a woman in a bikini while she fights does not automatically make that woman ugly or plain.
3. Not putting a woman in a bikini while she fights does not mean that developers don't want to make their female characters attractive.
4. Putting a woman in a bikini while she fights with YOU being okay with it does not somehow make you more enlightened and less sexist.
5. Knowing women who are okay with women fighting in bikinis does not make YOU right when you rail against a perceived SJW agenda.
6. Fighting tooth and nail for your right to enjoy female dolls designed for your amusement is not somehow better simply because it conforms with what used to be the status quo.
Get used to change, haters. If you want to be genuine about your shock, you're going to have to choose a more substantive side to stand on because defending artistic choice only when it means you get to see boobs doesn't hold water.
See, that's the thing. I don't have a problem with classic Mortal Kombat. I don't have a problem with this approach either. I trust the devs to do what's best for the series. That's why I am questioning ideologies that pretend to care about artistic choice when they only care about confirmation bias. If really wanting to see scantily clad women is your stance, then that's cool. Just be honest about it. But all this beating around the bush and pretending it's not just wanting scantily clad fighters is embarrassing. Own up to your desires, yo.
Mm, no, I don't think so.Just the ugly ones.

I usually think to myself, could I play this in front of my wife and not look like a creepy pervert? If the answer is no, then I usually don't buy the game.
“I’m sure that will disappoint some fans. We don’t have bathing suit fighters, and I think that’s fine. If people are disappointed, I don’t regret making that change by any means.”
If your wife thinks you're a "creepy pervert" because you're playing a game, you have bigger problems than gaming.could I play this in front of my wife and not look like a creepy pervert
People need to realize how stupid it was for female fighters to be fighting in bathing suits. It was always super stupid.
I LOVE this sentence from him.

So the gameplay isn't important at all ... Just the amount of skin women are showing?
That's what I'm getting from these comments

But aren’t you getting anything else also? Seems like you’ve got a neuance filter on cranked to 10.

I would refer to them as bikinis but why is this stupid?
All I've seen from this news is, remove fan service for the people who buy our games because the people who never will buy our games might complain. What could possibly go wrong.
In the context of "Taliban censored yet another game"? Not sure.So the gameplay isn't important at all ...
What does Sub Zero "mean to gamers"?Because the female fighters should mean more to gamers than just what they are wearing.
What does Sub Zero "mean to gamers"?
They went from showing her body but not her face to showing her face but not her body. That's a complete 180 in characterization, in my opinion. This is pretty much the difference.
I didn't know they've re-dressed sub zero, but if caring about wardrobe change is an indication, doesn't it mean that they also "mean something" to gamers? He means something because clearly, a different wardrobe seems to make some people upset.
Mortal Kombat is super stupid. That's the entire point of it. Why would you ever look for common sense in Mortal Kombat?People need to realize how stupid it was for female fighters to be fighting in bathing suits. It was always super stupid.
I haven't seen many comments talking about the gameplay.
Just fan service for chicks in skimpy clothes. I couldn't care less about that. Make the graphics good, the gameplay great and I'm satisfied.

But this is a complaint thread about a specific issue, not a combat praise thread. Not sure what you are arguing??
You are 100% correct with the bolded. I think the designers of MK11 actually "want" gamers to like the characters for more than their sex appeal. I can't blame them for wanting that.
Some of them new outfits look alright to me , however as a European i dont understand when everyone is ok with a game i can pull your spine out or throw my sharp hat to cut of your head is ok but cleavage is pushing it to far. I really dont get you Yanks sometimes.
I mean i haven't played a Mortal kombat game since the shitty one on N64 ?i might be misremembering , so this game is not for me anyway so i am not a customer to lose really

Well, had (dear god, we are still discussing a game where one could study anatomy of humans by watching how someone is torned apart alive) developers wanted that, perhaps they would have done that without enlightened people telling them to.
So, the concept is that if one likes a person, sex appeal of the person reduces person's likability. I think it's an arguable concept.
They’re like cowboys trying to derail the thread all the time. That was supposed to be a bit of levity, no Ill intended.Gotta love those people who come into a graphics thread talking about gameplay.
Fantasy, games used to be a place where fantasy could run wild, where a director/creator/developer could be creative and crazy as they could because it was never reflective of real life and/or world scenario's.I LOVE this sentence from him.
