This seems to be happening every few months now, but there was another big round of layoffs at Daybreak Games.

They used to be Sony Online Entertainment, then went on their own and it's been a sinking ship ever since.

This time it sounds like a large part of the PlanetSide 2 dev team was let go, from the sounds of things it was PlanetSide Arena (the battle royale).

I just hope someone good gets their hands on the EverQuest IP when the whole thing eventually implodes.

Ex-SOE people generally keep in touch (which is how I found out about this today) and they're scattered all over so they help those laid off find work.

Seems incredibly stressful to work in an industry with layoffs being common. Glad to hear people are supporting each other.
