Microsoft Owns Prey 2 & Roundhouse Studios Now

If Prey 2 releases on Xbox Series X, they'll have won the console war. It'd be all over for Sony. The Atari VCS wouldn't stand a chance, not against Prey 2. It's gotta happen, folks. I want my Prey 2. Phil please. The keys to the kingdom are in Xbox's hands. Just be sure to drop it on PC as well.

If you'd like to learn about the game:

Honestly a Prey 2, except not this Prey 2 but a Prey 2 sequel of most recent Prey game, would legit be something to give me pause..... but the devs that made Prey aren't even there anymore. Raphaël Colantonio left in like 2017.

Better Prey IMO. 2017 Prey had a lot of potential but was so outdated when it came out and got boring fast.

After Rune II's disastrous launch, do you really want anything from that studio?? They're scumbags that blindsided their publisher, consumers, and, most importantly, their FANS.
Poor Rune fans were waiting decades for it and Human Head/Roundhouse abandoned it the moment they shit it out. And then in an attempt to absolve responsibility, they shuttered the studio and sold themselves to another publisher that previously fucked them over lmao. Poor management all around, yet this is the studio you want to develop your favorite vaporware.... nah, man.

How about an actual Prey 2.

You know, a fucking sequel to Prey (2006).
That's what this is! You play as a new protagonist in a new setting, but Tommy's there to help. Your primary goal's to destroy a new Sphere, larger than the one featured in the first game, and this time built for an invasion.

It's as much a sequel as Prey (2017) is.

Which means it has literally fuck all to do with it.

Woah was it this studio that did Rune 2?. What they did to that publisher was disgusting. I felt so bad for them that i was going to buy a copy, but i dont have money to burn.
I think Bethesda was just as much at fault though than the actual dev team, i hope thats the case anyway as that was low ball what they did.

no it was supposed to continue the story. your main character was a passenger in the plane that got teleported and crashed inside the spaceship in Prey 2006.

and the story continues from there.

Prey 2016 was not even in the same universe, it's only called Prey because the looking glass tech looks similar to the portals in Prey 2006 and Bethesda was like "let's use that old IP we still have lying around for PR"

Yea, that's completely tacked on exactly like Prey 2016.

You do know why the plane was teleported there and what they were doing with the people right? There wasn't some fucking nightclub planet run by mobsters there.

well the guy escaped just like Tommy and earth was not really an option to go back to.

it's actually quite similar to Titan A.E. if anyone still remembers that movie.

humanity was invaded, the planet was basically destroyed and the surviving Humans were scattered around the galaxy and tried to survive among other species and planets.

that's how the story would continue in Prey 2

Sure was!

And yeah, I still feel bad for the publisher. Looking at the EGS page for Rune 2, it looks like they just released a huge update so I'm glad its still being worked on. It's also on sale for $20.

As far as I'm aware, Earth wasn't actually invaded. The Sphere only made a quick harvest, and would be on its way. However, after the disaster onboard, a War Sphere is under construction on Exodus, and Killian and Tommy work together to destroy it. The whole ending of the game's been publicly discussed, including how Killian makes it back to Earth.

oh ok, so not quite like Titan AE but similar to what the main character in Titan AE goes through, just how Earth is saved is different as in Titan AE the mission was to create a new earth for humanity

didn't know that the story was publicly discussed further than what they said at E3 back then

Oh yeah, over and over again, Tommy talks Killian into destroying the War Sphere. Over and over again, he keeps failing, and keeps forgetting. Each time the player dies, they respawn in a cloned body, and unbeknownst to the player, when you first start on Exodus, you're already in a clone. When you finally reach that War Sphere you find stacks and stacks of your former bodies.

On Earth, as the credits roll, Killian dies surrounded by his loved ones, having lived a long life with a new family. And then he wakes up back on Exodus.

Many developers left HH after Prey 2 was cancelled. HH made casino games for years.

Prey 2 is almost done. Surely it would be an easy win for Gamepass?...

yeah I remember that clone thing I think

I hope they release the original Prey and Wolfenstein 2009 on Steam again.
The newer Wolfenstein games are direct sequels to the 2009 game - and they're worse too!
