Mega Man series producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya has reportedly left Capcom | VGC

Mega Man series producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya has left Capcom.

As noticed by Mega Man fan site Rockman-corner, the developer’s Twitter account was recently updated to note that he had “graduated from Capcom,” after working on the series and also producing Street Fighter 6.

If indeed the profile update confirms Tsuchiya has left the studo, it brings to an end a tenure at Capcom that started in the early 90s. Tsuchiya is credited on titles as far back as 1995’s Mega Man 7 and 1996’s Street Fighter Alpha: Warrior’s Dreams.

This is nothing new for MM or Capcom since they released MegaMan 9 or the 8 bit thing was,the series died creatively after the DS gen imo, they could do something interesting without a big budget for fans that would do well but instead the best they can hope is a cheap rehash like MM11

At least the collections of old games have been selling well

They released Mega Man 11 in 2017 and haven't had a new release since then outside collections.

To think Capcom could have took a page from Sonic and "ripped off" Breath of The Wild for Mega Man and sold millions. Honestly you could revive Legends 3 and have it be that way with the overworld and nobody would complain considering IT'S BEEN TWENTY OR SO YEARS! I wanna build a rocket to finally get him off the moon.

Which is exactly why new, eager devs coming in and learning from the dev leads and producers should be a good thing. One of them is more likely to bring Megaman back sometime in the future. It’s better than begging for the old guard to stay around or come back when they refuse to touch the IP anyway.

Still the biggest series to this date, they haven't been delinquent after all what they did to this franchise.
