watch it before it get removed. rumors said this is internal update video seen by VGC.

The video, which has been seen by VGC but cannot be shared for legal reasons, is labelled as ‘Bandai Namco confidential’ and shows a significant amount of off-screen footage, from what appears to be a planned gameplay trailer for the From Software title.

The video leak represents the first significant update on Elden Ring since it was announced in June 2019, and the first time anyone has seen gameplay outside of its publisher or developer.

“I can only imagine what drives you to seek the Elden Ring,” a narrator says in the trailer. “I suppose you can’t be talked into turning back. Very well then!”

The gameplay footage then shows a montage of familiar Souls-style melee combat, boss battles against a fire-breathing dragon and a large, sword-wielding foe, and a glimpse at horseback combat in a large, open environment.

Since the off-screen clip seen by VGC seemingly only shows a portion of the trailer, there is no release date mentioned. However, we understand Elden Ring has already been delayed several times internally due to disruption caused by the pandemic.

People with knowledge of the game’s development told VGC that production has been significantly hampered by remote working restrictions, which have been in place for nearly a year. One person close to the game’s development said that, due to the disruption, they believed it was unlikely Elden Ring would make it out this year.

However, the fact that a trailer is being circulated online suggests that an official reveal might not be far away. More than one high-profile games reporter has recently suggested that publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment will soon lift the lid on Elden Ring.

GamesBeat reporter Jeff Grubb said on Friday that he’d heard the title was being planned for an unveiling soon. Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier echoed the comments, claiming there was “strong evidence” the game would be shown “relatively soon”.

Announced at E3 2019, Elden Ring is an upcoming dark fantasy action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.[1] The game is being directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, best known for creating the Souls series also developed by FromSoftware, with worldbuilding by fantasy novelist George R. R. Martin, best known for his A Song of Ice and Fire novel series.[2] A fan of Martin's work, Miyazaki contacted him with an offer to work together on a project, giving him the creative freedom to write the overarching backstory of the game's universe. Miyazaki used his contributions as the foundation of the game's narrative, comparing the process to that of using a "dungeon master's handbook in a tabletop RPG".[2][3] In addition, some staff from Game of Thrones, a television series adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, assisted with the game's development.[4]

Elden Ring began development in early 2017 following the release of The Ringed City, a piece of downloadable content for Dark Souls III.[5] As with Miyazaki's Souls games, Elden Ring will have the ability for players to create their own custom characters instead of playing as a fixed protagonist.[3] Miyazaki also considered Elden Ring to be a more "natural evolution" to the Souls series, as the game will be much larger in scale compared to them, featuring an open world with new gameplay mechanics such as horseback riding and combat.[3][5] However, unlike many other open world games, Elden Ring will not feature populated towns with non-player characters, with the world having numerous dungeon-like ruins in place of them instead.[3] When asked about the possibility of the story being novelized, Miyazaki stated that he would rather have players experience it themselves by playing the game, as he thinks the game's secrets and mysteries would be spoiled otherwise.[3] The score is being written by Yuka Kitamura, who has composed for many of Miyazaki's previous games.[6]

On March 1, 2021, an unreleased trailer and previously-unseen gameplay footage from an internal shareholder's meeting was leaked online.[7]

trailer checks out.

Oh man, this will be a day one purchase. Is it confirmed that its going to be as difficult as the other FROM action games?

That was awesome.

At first glance, you can see the DNA of a From Software "Souls" game, but of course there is more to it than that. Can't wait to pick through this thread and see what y'all discover.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t hoping for a bit more of a departure from the template.

But I’ll take Dark Souls 4, why not!

Hopefully the graphics are a lot better than that extremely low quality trailer makes them appear to be.

With this out in the wild now they should officially release a trailer soon. Right?
