Kingdom Come: Deliverance Nintendo Switch Port Is Finally Confirmed

IbizaPocholo

A collaboration between Warhorse Studios and Switch port specialists Saber Interactive, the cat was arguably out of the bag and scrambling around in spilled beans after Nintendo Spain posted an image including the game back in April... before deleting and posting an apology for the 'error' pronto. Ahem.

Details are thin on the ground at present, but a Koch Media press release following the Summer Game Fest announcement of new publishing label Prime Matter confirmed that, yes, the game is officially heading to Switch. No date yet. No nothing, really, just two lines of confirmation. We'll take it!

How does Saber have all this time to port so much to Switch? They just did Crysis Remastered for Switch, Evil Dead is theirs and that's coming to Switch, they previously did Snowrunner and Witcher 3 for Switch, they're somehow doing the online zombie-hoard game World War Z for Switch...

Woah. The game is crazy demanding. If it can run this, it can run anything.

The Nintendo Directs often have some of these "...and even this game is coming to Switch!" port announcements. I half expect Elden Ring or Cyberpunk to get Switch announcements.

Didn't this game run like complete garbage on a lot of high end PCs at the time?

I suppose they've had time to optimize since it first released and they're targeting a single platform which makes things a bit easier.

are in a big trouble
This will be interesting If they get this to run on a switch. If they do maybe they should fix cyberpunk for cdpr

I thought Elden Ring was a non-timed Sony exclusive.

I also half expect Cyberpunk to come to Switch, but only because CD Project Red seems like the type of team to do that port out of spite to prove a point.

I'll be really interested to see how this runs and looks.

It's a demanding game.
My very first thought. No way this runs at an acceptable framerate without at least changing some pretty big visual elements. I'm super interested to see what kind of witch magic or what god they invoke to make this look like the original release.

How the heck will this run on Switch. It would be great if any optimization work done there is also applied to the pc version of the game.

Is Saber around this port? Maybe downsample to Cryengine 3? Crysis remastered runs quite well on Switch, unlike those shit PS4/XBX ports.

For the Switch's sake I hope they spent the last year ultra-optimizing their game because if not ooooooffff this is going to be messy.

Some people maybe got wary why I said so much shit, passionately at that, about Switch HW... And I am just a consultant, because I am really deep into nVidia related compute programming, which is only our hope.

I still think it's really brave to announce it like that, because from the last build shit looks Switch Quality™ (read really fucking horrible)

Other shit I cannot tell.

Melt your switch edition.

They said in the past that any further development of this game has been halted for the sake of working on sequel.

Which left people with badly performing and still really glitchy game on consoles.

Now they decided to release switch port! Fuck me.
I really wish good luck to anyone who will pre-order that, it will be a comedy once it’s out, can’t wait lol.

What's the point of even porting it. This kind of game will sell probably 12 copies. Now if the company that makes Fat Princess Cooking Mama wants to sell a million copies, make Switch games.

It is going to be a train wreck. Even on a very high end PC this game is challenging to run....I really am curious what this looks like on the switch.

yeah, they're working on it
frankly with crysis it seems like the remaster was originally switch exclusive then the ps4 xb1 ports were added,

This is so ridiculous... It's just a flex by Switch, this game is just not suited to handhelds imo, hell even consoles are a stretch (I believe in PC)

Saber: "Hey Marcin! Our work on KCD Switch port is done, and we're free. Do you want us to help you out on CBP2077's last gen code that you shat on 5 million customers in your recent scam?"

Marcin: "You know, Saber, I thought the Switch could run CBP2077 sUrPrIsiNgLy wELL, so..."

The game made my OG PS4 sound like it was going to take off, so I'm really interested to see how this turns out.

Too bad there isn't a 60fps mode on PS5 ... I'd really love to experience the game, but this generation taught me not to play 30fps titles ever again
