Kingdom Come: Deliverance Switch Port Is Finally Confirmed

Saber Interactive's delivering its next 'impossible' port

A collaboration between Warhorse Studios and Switch port specialists Saber Interactive, the cat was arguably out of the bag and scrambling around in spilled beans after Nintendo Spain posted an image including the game back in April... before deleting and posting an apology for the 'error' pronto. Ahem.

Details are thin on the ground at present, but a Koch Media press release following the Summer Game Fest announcement of new publishing label Prime Matter confirmed that, yes, the game is officially heading to Switch. No date yet. No nothing, really, just two lines of confirmation. We'll take it!

I thought Elden Ring was a non-timed Sony exclusive.

I also half expect Cyberpunk to come to Switch, but only because CD Project Red seems like the type of team to do that port out of spite to prove a point.

Kingdom Come Deliverance is on CryEngine, and Saber did port Crysis to Switch...

(The only other CryEngine game so far on Switch is I think WarFace, which was ported internally to Switch by Allods.)

My very first thought. No way this runs at an acceptable framerate without at least changing some pretty big visual elements. I'm super interested to see what kind of witch magic or what god they invoke to make this look like the original release.

They said in the past that any further development of this game has been halted for the sake of working on sequel.

Which left people with badly performing and still really glitchy game on consoles.

Now they decided to release switch port! Fuck me.

So this is ported by Saber who did 'The Witcher 3 impossible port', and also helped Crytek with the Crysis trilogy remasters, including the Switch version. Very tempted to pick this one up if it releases physically and complete on cart. Thx for the update on this, btw.

Too bad there isn't a 60fps mode on PS5 ... I'd really love to experience the game, but this generation taught me not to play 30fps titles ever again
