I am reminiscing about losing a job on a thank you note that I sent to the employer. I checked my old yahoo email and the hiring manager showing me the bad thank you note is still there. I then remembered this thread:

Crazy how time flies. It's going to be ten years since I received the email on April 19. A lot changed since I wrote that thank you note. I had low self esteem back then, but I have matured quite a bit. I'm doing quite well for myself. I got married to a beautiful woman and ended up becoming a lawyer after a few years. I think I needed to hit rock bottom before I could have picked myself up.

10 years ago, I was a 16 year old in high school and was lurking on GAF without an account. I still remember everything so clearly. That was also the year of the whole Xbox One fiasco lol

I totally agree that it doesn't feel like a decade ago at all. Time seems to fly by faster the older you get.

Was a particularly shit year for me, managed to stick the landing though and went into 2014 strong.

Were you in law school at this time?
