Introducing “Inside The Last of Us Part II” video series

https://blog.eu.playstation.com/202...-last-of-us-part-ii-video-series/#sf233902003

We hope you’re taking care of yourselves, staying safe and making solid progress on your back catalog of games.

The Last of Us Part II is by far the largest and most ambitious game we’ve ever made and there will be so much for you to dig into when it arrives on 19th June. Leading up to launch, we’re releasing a brand new series of videos breaking down key aspects of the game. Each video will feature interviews with members of our team as we discuss the design, technology, and ideas that have shaped the development of our game over the last six years.

We’re kicking things off by taking a closer look at the story in The Last of Us Part II, including some of the core themes we’re exploring, a glimpse into Ellie and Joel’s life in Jackson, and how we’re broadening the world and cast of characters. Don’t worry, we’re keeping all episodes spoiler-free and there will be so much more for you to dig into on 19th June! Check it out:

  • 13th May: Inside the Story
  • 20th May: Inside the Gameplay
  • 27th May: Inside the Details
  • 3rd June: Inside the World

Also I highly suggest you watch The Last of Us Grounded Documentary as well, its phenomenal

Wish it was longer but can’t really say much before launch, eh? Hopefully they’ll have something similar to the Grounded TLOU documentary because that was SO GOOD.

I know The last of us part 2 can be a good game (It won't be better than the first part)

I don't know about you people but lately this type of trailers and marketing is starting to tire me out and annoy me.

Let's face it, it will be a good game and nothing else, it will not be a gift from heaven. And I say that I have the pre-order but it is only a game and that's it.

Between MP and NG+ playthroughts I finished with well over 60 hours played on TLOU:R when it hit PS4.

I know MP will be a separate thing later, and I don't now if this will have NG+ (I hope so) but here's hoping

Mind telling me this agenda?

Just read this thread, hopefully we can keep it there

"I'm thinking this one might be more divisive than the first game in a very sort of exciting way. I think that it raises those very philosophical questions and asks the player to interpret some of the material that's there and see where they stand on those questions."

I cannot tell you how fucking cathartic this is to hear after weeks of morons pretending they understand The Last of Us better than it's creator.

i cant tell you how excited I am for this now hearing him talk about it. I know some spoilers for the game because of morons here but I LOVE this game is about: hate, revenge, the cycle of violence and how it starts or repeats and I LOVE how events in the first game carry over to part 2. They could have easily like everything other game ditched the narrative of the first and have a brand new story. But the fact they are connecting it makes me feel they have a long term story planned put with characters, emotions, revenge etc and thats how you build depth. I HOPE there is a part 3 and this series is referred to the godfather of video games woth depp characters and writing where in the end its all a connected cohesive story.
