I have to say it's been great going back and rewatching all my favorite movies with him. He loves the idea that there was no CGI and the stunts and makeup are all practical effects.

He was blown away at the makeup for the original Planet of the Apes, and the stunt sequences on Her Majesty's Secret Service.
