Actually im sure it does, there is like English, Japanese, French, Italuan im playing with Spanish voices (because the English ones are so bad 🤭)
Are the English ones, the voice actors in every game these days, that would explain why they are bad :messenger_mr_smith_who_are_you_going_to_call: when you get many roles handed to you, like crazy, you become complianct and just stop putting in the effort. at least thats I expect common place voice actors to do,

Zelda would work better with british va, anime dub va, sound so out of place in Zelda.

Im not sure but i would be surprised if they are ,honestlt i don't think Nintendo would pay that much to have the likes of Nolan North or Mary Elizabeth or Troy or Yuri or Steve Blum.

Now i want Ganondorf voiced by Steve Blum

This game is awesome. I haven't played a Warriors game in a long time, but this feels great.

Resolution and pop-in is a little rough. I'll try it docked later on a 1080p display.

The time travel thing is bullshit, this will probably be a separate timeline where the "good guys win". I know some may say "but they'd might lose anyway", if that is the case, then why does the whole time travel thing exists? Why does the game begin at the end of the champions?

A lot of people seem to have put faith into it expanding the lore, having world building and establishing characters for BoTW because it is being advertised as a botw prequel, but sadly that doesn't seem the case, it seems like it's gonna be a poor fanfiction, like every other Warriors game.

Since the opening cinematic is already out, it's not really a spoiler. But we don't really know how the Egg is going to change anything and it when Egg jump in time is so open to interpretation and it made not change anything in BotW but may tie into BotW 2. I'll reserved judgment until the game is out and played through.

What an absolute boring game man.
So much talent wasted on this generic as fuck game.

every thing is so wel polished in the demo.
What a waste.

after just 1 mission of running to group of enemies button mashing till enemy go woosh.

look at map run at dot mash buttons until mission over. Then next mission repeat...

Srsly why do people love warrior games srsly? XD

I've only played the original Hyrule Warriors and this demo for about 30 mins so I can't speak for other games in the genre.

I enjoyed the first HW because its a fun game I can pick up and play without necessarily having to "take it seriously".

I personally liked learning the combos and managing the battlefield and just having a fun time being overpowered as fuck.

Did people not enjoy going to the arcades growing up and just having a blast playing some games?

I think games like this connect to that sense of fun that comes with just playing a game. No overly complex systems or super serious narrative etc.

Its only button mashing if you choose to button mash. Theres plenty of stuff to mess around with during combat. That seems to have been expanded quite a bit in the Age of Calamity version.

That thing of breaking a game down into a uncharitable description could be done for any video game.

Fair enough if you don't like it. I don't think anyone thought this was going to be a greatest of all time, or even game of the year level, product.

Yep. It's just something to play casually. I think it's pretty great in handheld mode while listening to podcasts or something.

Exactly. I don't know why folks really feel like every game needs to be a world beater.

I think there is a lot to be said for taking franchises like Zelda and having a mix of games in different styles and genres but with some distinctive similarities.

It will be the most boring game if you only button mash and repeat the same thing over and over. It's the same with any H&S.

Find combos, try other moves and weapons, try other characters and their combos. Musous, imo, lack inescapable challenges where people learn how to play properly. You can go through the game only pressing X if you want and the game won't punish you for that other than being boring as fuck, it's bad design in that sense as it never really teaches you the fun mechanics.

That's why you have to explore the combat system, there's a lot there, and you can make it instantly better if you commit to perform parries, last-moment dodges, using the runes in chains, etc.

It's like a fighting game if you don't know how to really play fighting games, how can it be fun if all you do is press the same button?

Being able to go max difficulty from the start is a godsend that I hope BoTW2 learns from.
Being able to toggle the lock on instead of holding constantly also fixes tons of issues with BoTW.
Being able to instantly retry when you die with no loading screen is fantastic and makes the game far more fun even when it's challenging. is this the power of the SSD?

One thing that really sucks is that the motion control is locked to the left joycon, opposite of most games, including BotW.

I'm enjoying the demo a lot, the combat is lots of fun and they capture BtoW perfectly.
There are a lot of cut scenes in this Demo, looks great. My only gripe with demo is the gyro, I like playing split joycons. The Gyro aiming is on the left joycon which differs from BotW which the gyro is set to the right joycon.

Is it possible to complete the all the side tasks in the demo? I was playing for a while but it seems impossible to get the materials for the one ranch (need a specific bug) and the other side task (need some sort of plant).

My gripe also, hope there is option to change this on release. I'm so use to having gyro on right joycon.

It takes a long time, but it's doable.
The plants are all available from cutting flowers in the first mission.
The beetles you need can be obtained randomly from the larger skull chests in bokoblin encampments; difficulty doesn't seem to matter, but they can drop almost any food or insect items, so rng plays a huge part there.

That's what I was thinking but I wasn't seeing any of the items I needed so I just assumed they weren't in the demo. Thanks for the info.

I didnt really have any issues with the demo tbh, people keep saying the frame rate is bad but I'm not seeing it.
Yeah, I honestly never notice frame rate issues so I guess I'm fortunate. I mean, I notice when motion is slower and all but it just doesn't alter my personal gameplay experience. Maybe it's because I lived through the N64 days - you just lived with lower frame rates back then on some games; Switch games rarely get that low so by comparison it's pretty good! :messenger_winking:

Just watched this review earlier, it brings up a lot of interesting points:
- confirms the sheikah sensor and how it works
- more characters than what we've been shown so far, and some might be pretty hard to unlock
- framerate has been fixed from the demo?

Somewhat unrelated, but Nintendo posted a preview of Mipha's theme on their twitter:

I enjoyed playing through the demo but I have to remember that for all of its novelty I couldn't get around to finishing the first game, and it doesn't seem any less repetitive. However the idea of cranking the difficulty from the beginning is interesting.

I noticed the poor performance (docked) but for some reason it didn't really detract from the experience at all to me, maybe the BotW art style just really works for my eyes.

It's really yet another Switch game I think would be really cool to have, but not for sixty bucks...
