Probably A Link Between Worlds. They're upscaling a bunch of 3DS games and that one was reviewed pretty high.

Of course, I hope these rumors aren't true. Only a couple I'm interested in.
This is my assumption as well. Really, they should port and upscale anything from 3DS that will sell. This includes OoT 3D, Majora's Mask, A Link Between Worlds, and Samus Returns. For a release schedule that has been a little thin, these are all excellent fillers that they can treat as major releases. lol

True. This is the last gen I'm willing to re-buy ports because we need to save GameCube/Wii/3DS games and modernize them with widescreen, HD, updated controls, and ability to play it on the TV. I think just porting everything over would be brilliant.

unlikely they release 3 zeldas in this short amount of time. If they launch a remaster/remake on the holidays most probably BotW2 will be delayed until end of 2022.
Not unlikely considering skyward sword is just a remaster, ocarina of time probably the 3ds version remastered and it's the 35 anniversary of the franchise.

But Astral Chain is a Nintendo franchise. Nintendo worked with Platinum Games in the same way they work with HAL or Intelligent Systems or any of their external partners (with oversight from EPD).

Yes usually they work on existing IP, but they do work with external partners on new IP fairly regularly (for example, with Grezzo on Ever Oasis or Intelligent Systems on Codename Steam).

As the publisher Nintendo gets the money from the game, they will then give some of that money to Platinum.
A franchise is 2 or more games. Astral Chain is a new IP that was half-owned by Nintendo and half by Platinum, I'm not sure who owns what now. Nintendo published it and owns the publishing rights. I have no idea exactly who funded what or if they work with them in the same manner as they do HAL or Intelligent Systems since they have a long storied relationship with those. Maybe they did, but I can't find any information on it.

Hmm, we haven't had a Direct for a while, I'm expecting more Zelda news for the Anniversary though, I can imagine that'll be after SS's release in July
There won’t be a substantial Direct until their E3 Digital Event imo. It’s May on Saturday, far too close to E3 now. I think we’ll get a Zelda focused Direct in August with Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD ports announced for September and maybe a BotW 2 update depending on when it’s coming.

We have never gotten Ocarina of Time and Majorca’s Mask in HD and those games were MADE for the big screen experience at home. So even though I really enjoyed Link Between Worlds, OOT and MM would be epic (and nostalgic) on my tv.

Tales of Destiny 2 (why not 1&2?), Timesplitters, a new 2-D Metroid, and Radiant Historia 2?

I call bullshit. I'd be incredibly happy just for these, but bullshit.

On the other hand, Fossil Fighters is something random as hell to include in a clickbait rumor. . .

Never played Tales of Destiny 2 so I'd be hyped for that. Hopefully it comes with Tales of Destiny 1. I really just want all the old school/portable tales games ported/remastered for Switch or PS4. Maybe even a remake of Phantasia. I mean, they have to be doing something with the older tales of games after dropping all those 25th anniversary videos on youtube.

I can't stand the Tales series of games, personally. I know they have a large fanbase, but it's just not my type of game.

I'll be playing R-Type Final 2 until Snowrunner releases on Switch, then probably going back and forth between the two... so I'm good for awhile on games.

I can provide the information on that.

At this point Platinum has a close relationship with Nintendo, similar to some other external companies we've named (just not as long). EPD - Production Group No. 1 is the group at Nintendo tasked with working with Platinum, HAL, Intelligent Systems, Game Freak and Syn Sophia (among others):

Hitoshi Yamagami (the Producer of EPD 1): He was a Producer for Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, Astral Chain, Kirby Star Allies and Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Kaori Ando (Project Lead at EPD 1): She was a Managing Director of Wonderful 101, a Co-Director of Astral Chain and a Director on Tokyo Mirage Sessions
Makoto Okazaki (Project Lead at EPD 1): He was a Co-Director of Astral Chain and a Director of Style Savy: Styling Star
we will see but I really doubt it. look at mario and it was its anniversary too, we only got all stars...
Mario's anniversary lasted the whole fiscal year (the celebrations were planned for April before the pandemic happened). So as well as all stars the anniversary included Paper Mario: Origami King, Mario 35, Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit and 3D World + Bowser Fury. I'm not saying Zelda will get that much but it wouldn't be at all surprising for Zelda to get a bunch of different games in the current fiscal year.

Well, not really, many games are funded by several parties, and with games like this where you have a third-party developer making a game for a Nintendo console, it's not unusual for Nintendo to make deals where they retain the IP. If I had to guess, Nintendo funded a part of the game and took the IP, and various investors covered the rest.
Yes, many games are funded by several parties, but they would also state it so in the first place. Not in the case of Astral Chain.

Virtual Boy? Oh damn, I could go for a rerelease of VB Wario Land. Mario Clash would be pretty good with online co-op. Or hell how about Jack Bros, for no other reason than to piss off the collectors.

Adding to this list of titles, the report mentions the following games with the caveat that these may not be ports or remasters, but remakes: Fossil Fighters, TimeSplitters, a Sonic game, and a Virtual Boy title.
The Virtual Boy title remake is enough for me to say that it's an obvious fake. Theirs other things but that's the big one.

I can agree with you on this, I'd forgotten that Nintendo were doing E3 again this year,

Actually, I can see this being their E3 thing as well

A new Radiant Historia (or remaster) would be huge news for me.

Mario Strikers makes sense, would sell like crazy.

They could do a Ring Fit Adventure DLC and that would make tons of money too.

I’m still hoping for an Eternal Darkness remake or successor.

Outside of a couple of things this isn't even that exciting. I'm expecting the line up between now and the end of 2022 to be way better than what's listed here.
Ok, so regardless of how exciting this leak is - has a leak as big as this one ever turned out to be true? And I mean 100%, not just a couple of games that anyone could've guessed.

The only one I can think of is the Capcom leak.(there's have been Nintendo presentation leaks in the past, but only a day or so before they happen). Apart from that, no.

I was just thinking that, if someone was going to make up a fake list like this person has done, they should at least make it realistic or exciting.

Will see. Nintendo has has a really bad drought, they need this.

While some more game announcements would be nice, and pretty much a given at this point with E3 coming up, not sure if not having any major announcements would slow the Switch sales down all that much, for the potential console owners there are tonnes of games already, plus titles being released on the e-Shop every day, Nintendo could get by with it's first party evergreen titles this year no trouble.

If they are really gonna release some old Virtual Boy games I'll gladly take Wario Land and Mario Clash. Both really fun games.

Nothing worthy talking about really. As for the TimeSplitters claims this is total BS. Friends who worked and still work at this studio in Nottingham is common knowledge that the creatives leads behind the game franchise really can't be fucked to make another one or a remake due to lack of interest internally.

Sure fans might like a new one but it ain't gonna happen if the people behind it really don't want to.

Seriously. In fact, the only reason I'm tempted to believe it is that it is such a letdown. In spite of a few gems, I'd really hoped for better than that.

Now that third parties are finally embracing Switch I do think we'll get a much better lineup going forward (especially when compared to a terrible 2020).

I dunno, with the technical gap widening quite a but this year, I think it'll keep getting table scraps and enhanced editions of PS3/360 games, but we'll see.

I wouldn't call 3rd parties fully onboard until you get a COD or the like on there.

Yeah I would love this, lots of seemingly great games locked to hardware I own but never want to use, and I'd rather play on actual hardware over emulation if the option was given. Kid Icarus: Uprising in particular is a real shame to still be locked to the 3DS, would've been a perfect game to port to Wii U.

Yes maybe that's a but too far, but I think its safe to say that ma y third parties are now onboard on Switch and therefore the lineup will be stronger going forward than it has been in the past (especially when COVID is dealt with). Games with huge files sizes like COD will probably still not make it, but if 2021 so far is anything to go by then most third parties will be putting out Switch projects fairly regularly.

At the pace games are released now, I don't feel like much is missed in terms of third party support. PS360 games are almost as good as PS4/X1 games once they get some enhancement treatment, and let's be real: Switch is never going to handle full ports from PS4/X1. I would almost prefer to play the PS360 greatest hits enhanced, full HD, and 30/60 fps than to get poor man ports of current stuff.

Drought what? I just got super mario 3d world, Monster Hunter rise, Kingdoms of amalaur re-reckoning, Bravely default 2, Outer worlds, and a bunch of indies. All came out in the last 1-3 months.
Doesn't seem like a drought to me. Unless you are one of those strange people that only buys first party games (which makes no sense, as the switch is great playing ports even sitting on toilet, back porch, the woods, etc... )

I'd rather get the ports than not at all. Switch's library this year has been improved by the existence of things like Crash 4, Little Nightmares 2 and Persona 5 Strikers.
