I wanted more ports to the Switch. I guess this is what I get. Apparently I used one of my monkey’s paw wishes.
What's the difference? As far as I know, you need to be always online in every version of Hitman III to save progress and so on (which sucks BTW).
Not the same. You can still play PT if you have downloaded it, even if is not available on the store anymore and you can't download it again. You can't play Hitman anymore if they shut down servers (they should let you to play it on other devices).Same as every other digital purchase - if you plan to hold to something then buy physical. Of course those discs will start to rot sooner or later.
I know what streaming is. I was sarcastic. All other versions you play the game locally, here the Switch is just streaming the game from a server over the net (think Xcloud or Stadia).
According to early reviewers, nothing changed.Hitman 1 & 2 will allow you to play offline, not sure about 3
A game like Hitman that just needs to be online to save progress to a server can work on a crappy internet connection. They just occasionally phone home to upload stuff, can survive interruptions w/o interrupting gameplay... can have poor latency and that does not matter. If your 2 roommates start streaming Netflix, your Hitman game isn't going to stop working. What's the difference?
