If GOT shipped 5M as of November. My guestimate, GOT could be at 6M or 7M already. If Last of us 2 is above GOT then Lou 2 could be more than 7M.
By next June and July it's possible both will be at 10M already. Wow! especially for GOT. A new IP and put SP on the top tier for PS devs.

Also, it doesn't matter what you feel about these 2 games both are a success for Sony.

GoT shipped 5M as of November. TLOU2 shipped almost 5M on its first week and was released back in June so yes, TLOU2 must be way above 7M.

And this is why we haven't had a sales update for TLOU2. The decline was real. And it had a much deeper discount to boot.

It may still be slightly ahead of GOT, but considering TLOU2 is the sequel to one of Sony's best performing games on the PS3, was incredibly hyped, and started with a 1.6M advantage, this is just sad.

It's The Last Jedi all over. Sure, it still made money, but it greatly underperformed and hurt the franchise in the process.

TLOU2 sold in the first weekend almost the same than GOT sold in 4 months. Even if unlike GoT (still) didn't have the multiplayer DLC or PS5 patch, TLOU2 continued selling better than GoT on the biggest PlayStation market: Europe.

And if we look at the top PSN downloads of 2020, Tsushima is 1 position above TLOU2 in NA, but in Europe (again, the top PS market) TLOU2 is top 8 while GoT doesn't appear in the top 10 ranking.

TLOU2 started as the fastest selling PS4 exclusive, after that hug peak obviously needed to have a decline. But after that continued selling well. Very likely TLOU2 will sell more on PS4 than TLOU1 sold in PS3, will end more than GoT and who knows if it may end being the best selling PS4 exclusive.
