Bah, my parents still haven't ordered my PC for college that they were supposed to order me two months ago, but it looks like they'll be ordering it this week.

I'm looknig at a Dell XPS, but I have a question about HDs. It comes with a Serial ATA HD< and if I want to get a second HD I can only get a Serial ATA HD. The thing is, I've currently got a 120GB IDE drive that I was planning on putting in the PC as the backup drive.

Will is still be possible to use this HD, or am I fuxx0red?

The PC hasn't been ordered, so I don't know if there will be any IDE slots.

I don't usually deal with the innards of PCs. Should there be any slots left?

Or you could buy an USB2.0/Firewire enclosure for that IDE HDD and be happy.

And it should have IDE ports since Optical drives need to connect somewhere.

You show me the Dell mobo that don't have IDE ports on it, and I'll be like:

"Damn, I didn't think they'd do that. Also, did everybody see those red pants? Shit!"
