Generation Zero, a first-person shooter that has you battling robots, has also just received a new update that allows for a 60 fps experience on Xbox Series X/S consoles, as well as cross-play between PC and Xbox consoles. In addition to this, players also get access to a whole bunch of new content, such as base building and a challenge tree related to this new mechanic. There’s also an addition of voice chat to the game, which will of course be available during cross play as well.

Patch Notes:

ADDITIONS & IMPROVEMENTS

Cross-play

  • With the inclusion of Xbox Game Pass, Cross-play has been implemented as well. This will allow you to play with your friends across 2 platforms: Xbox & Windows 10.
60 FPS

  • Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S now have the capability to run at 60 FPS.
Voice Chat

  • Xbox and Windows 10 users now have access to in-game voice chat

How the hell do people manage this game with a controller, later into the game? :D

Awesome game however, teaming up with friends in this is supremely fun.

Loved this game on ps4 pro but had to stop playing because performance was so crap... Ps5 performance still pretty crap, hope they put out a patch on ps5 too.

I love the graphics by the way

Generation Zero's Landfall update brings a third faction to the open-world co-op action game. The third faction arrives with two new machine types: the Soviet Lynx and Wolf. The update also includes new map revamps for the South Forest region, rewards, and more. Check out the trailer for the Landfall update, available now on Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass.

Generation Zero puts players on the front line of the battle against the machines in an alternate history Sweden.

Played it twice. I couldn’t get into it at 30fps - felt unresponsive and sluggish, but at 60fps it is actually a very fun, moody piece of eurojank. Now this reminded me to get back into it and slaughter more of these creepy robots

The machines have watched, learned, and started setting up their own fortified bases. It's time to take back what is yours in the upcoming Base Assault Update, coming soon on all platforms!
