Gen 3: Toss up between Punch Out, Zelda, or SMB3

Gen 4: Final Fantasy II

Gen 5: Another toss up, I guess between FFIX, FFT, and Xenogears

Gen 6: FFXII, Xenosaga I, Xenosaga III

Gen 7: Nothing completely stands out as a favorite, but MGS4 and Tales of Vesperia are probably tops.

Ouch, man. Last gen had a ton of great games, you're really missing out. You listed a Wii game so you have no excuse not to take advantage of the system's backwards compatability and look into the GC's library, at very least.
