Hollande was always the favorite AFAIK.

Earlier this year, Aubry was trailing only DSK in some polls. With DSK out, I naturally assumed that Aubry would be the favorite. Then again, I'm hardly attuned to French politics.

Aubry wasn't supposed to run, she just did because DSK went sex crazy in New York.

They had a private meeting where Aubry and Royal IIRC made a pact with DSK not to run for presidency.

That's why I'm glad Hollande won, he started to run before DSK screwed up and he managed to win.
Now we just need to beat Sarko.
