Famitsu sales week 5: Disgaea 6 launch week

This graph really puts Bandia Namco's decline into perspective. Back in the early 10s they were able to get big sales from putting out a big number of games on 3DS, PS3 and PSV. They've been moving their PS3 franchises and sales over to the PS4, but they haven't been very good at moving their 3DS and PSV audience onto Switch, and as a result have seen a big decline.
Yes, Bandai Namco relied on the quantity of releases to get high total software sales.

Crazy to see them not supporting Switch this year after seeing so much success on the 3DS and their Switch games doing so well. Having Idolmaster skip the platform is pure insanity.

Maybe a Nintendo Direct or Partner Showcase will happen soon and announce some new BN games for the platform, but right now things are looking kind of bleak for them.

Our of curiosity, which tool did you use to make that table? Games Data Library hasn't been working fully recently.

It's a normal spreadsheet (I use Excel).

EDIT:
The source of the data in my image is from Media Create, not Famitsu like GDL.

Japanese third-party publishers were found with their pants down in regard to the Switch.

Very soon the Top 20 1st & 2nd Party Switch games will surpass the lifetime sales of the Top 20 3DS games. Very impressive considering that we aren't seeing the full picture with digital, digital discounts and vouchers. Looking at Nintendo's actual shipments which include digital Top 20 has already surpassed 50 million sales.

Bowser's Fury is definitely the next 1st Party game to surpass 1 million; while Pokemon Snap is definitely a game that can surpass 500K.

Missing Franchises on the Switch are basically Tomodachi; Rhythm Heaven; Nintendogs & Style Saavy
Overall when thinking about non-new AA franchises that could launch this year; I would personally expect one of the four games above to launch and each one of them has a decent chance to also be a game to surpass 500K.

PS5 finally passed WiiU's launch week number. We could use a couple of celebration threads.
In a month and a half PS5 sold worldwide a third of the units WiiU sold in all its lifetime.

And PS5 didn't sell way more because even if it had the best selling launch for any console in gaming history, was heavily supply constrained worldwide. And it continues to be heavily supply constrained, reason of why there's only a few units sold now specially in smaller markets like Japan.

Ah I see thanks. The Switch has been out for 4 years now almost, you would have thought third parties would adapt.

It's OK let them have their little moment to gloat. It shows how salty they still are over the wii u. The last time Nintendo will every make a traditional home console because they can't compete.

Gotta love correct but unnatural use of english, also guess that proves scalpers we're an issue, not that it I think it will stop it from being sold out, just more actual ed users will get one. At least until supply reaches demand

Selfishly plays on Xbox Purr-ies X
I'm as big of a Nintendo fan as there is. I've owned and played the hell out of every Nintendo console ever made since the NES (yes, including the Virtual Boy). We have SIX Switch consoles in our home.

That doesn't make constant fanboying from people like you and your buddy here, constantly pissing on PlayStation and Xbox any less annoying.
This is rich coming from you. As a hardcore Xbox fangirl I don't see him posting sales numbers as pissing on Xbox. It's just factual information. I HAVE seen a lot of posts from you in the 2 1/2 months you've been here pissing on on Xbox though.
