Pretty sure this is the first time this happened.

The series s by itself outsold the ps5. I know there see stock issues and I know cumulatively the playststion will always destroy xbox in Japan.

But holy hell was the series s a good bet for Microsoft

PS5 and Series X are expensive as hell. Series S gives you an option to experience next-gen. Very smart by Xbox.

Switch doing what it does.

Series S outsold PS5. but where is Series X lol
Doesn't that stand for Xbox Series (which includes X and S), just like the PS5 includes both DE and normal versions.

edit: I guess going by the tweet it did outsell it by itself as the stock of XSX was super low.

And there's not even any next-gen games out yet lol. Once the next gen games start hitting the Series S will become much more appealing.

Xbox is bigger than PS5 this week?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Where are the users saying that Sony's situation in Japan wasn't that bad?

Do you think there are any unsold PS5s sitting on Japanese store shelves? If so, you clearly are not plugged in.

Glad there is at least a couple of interesting points this week.

May will be a quiet month for Japan sales discussion, but then from June onwards it gets really interesting again.

Incredible numbers pushed by Xbox :lollipop_yum:.
In a world where demand is never met, how those numbers relevant ? Wake me up when stock are sitting on the shelf like Series S does.

Of course not, but that doesn't change the fact that:

1) Sony has been sending ever since the launch small batches of stock to Japan, which clearly indicates that Japan is not important to them(even with supply issues, Sony could easily send more and set a baseline closer to 10k - 15k.

2) Software sales remain non-existant after 18 MONTHS since the launch. This is the worst offender by far and the biggest indicator of how much Sony as a brand has fallen.

You all can keep living in denial, but its been a fact for a while now that Sony jumped ship in regards to Japan, and couldn't care less about setting a foothold there.

Why would I be in denial? I've never even been to Japan. Selfishly, I'm happy they put the main focus on getting stock to the US first.

Wii sports had a huge significance back than now you have switch sports although not a launch title you're seeing it getting people active.
