Publisher Bandai Namco and developer CyberConnect2 have released a new trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot introducing character progression.

The trailer introduces the various ways players can grow on their adventure, including by leveling up in battle, collecting power-ups in exploring, acquiring skills via the Community Board, learning super attacks by training, and boosting stats by eating meals.

Canada Eh
I haven't been into DBZ all that much since Budokai 3, but I'm surprisingly excited for this. The fact that it's supposedly around 40 hours for the main story has me even more hyped. Really hope they don't mess this one up.

Is this still a 1vs1 game or a normal action rpg with mobs, boss etc?

I like the idea, finally a dbz game that isn't just a VS fighting game, I always wanted that.
I'm... very mixed with the visuals though, it looks really dated and the color palette is too saturated.
I wish it looked as good as the Naruto Storm games, they looked a lot better than this with very anime acurate color palette, it looked a lot more "natural".
The naruto storm series and Kurtzpel are imo the best looking games with an anime style.

I kinda prefer it this way, the bloom shading with darker colors kinda gives it more of a manga aesthetic which I really love.
Fighterz already perfected that anime look, theres no reason to retread that so soon.
