I want its combat yes, but in a sci-fi world, cyber ninja and stuff. Tired of medieval/fantasy. Time to move on to sci-fi souls.
They were linear in-name only. Like many rpg’s you were very much capable of backtracking and they have tons of branching pathways. The only real difference between ER from the rest of the souls series is a big map instead of a bunch interconnected mapsMost definitely. The open world nature of Elden Ring is the reason I decided to play my 1st FromSoftware game.
I've yet to even finish my 1st play through, but ER is definitely one of my favorite games ever.
The idea of their previous games always seemed too daunting a task because of the more linear style progress.
Clearly they do both well, so let them make games for both styles.
I would buy an open world samurai game from FromSoftware without hesitation.
Agree, Sekiro combat is much more focus and is less about character building, so Sekiro doesn’t need open world game for exploration like Elden Ring did.no, sekiro was perfect the way it was, an interconnected world works way better with the stealth action adventure type game it was
