That's crazy, at a studio in California, I bet it imight be 7-8 times that.
He's correct. That'd be an entry salary for a junior position. Of course you'd get 2-3 times that as a senior. But when the development is finished, they'll probably fire more than half of the staff, just like they did after Witcher 3. People who have little to do at concept and pre-production stages just generate cost. They'll start hiring again when the next game goes into production, common practice.

We're a totalitarian country which was doing quite well until 6 years ago. Now we're heading back to the communist era with a police state and no freedom of speech. Anyone with possibilities will leave soon. With the gamedev support program in Germany, I see a lot of experienced devs relocating there. When the current government sees how much money CDPR is making, they'll send their own people there and burn the company to the ground. It has happened to many successful establishments in the recent years.
