As happens every quarter, Capcom updated their Platinum Titles page and Game Series Sales page, updating it until December 31st, parenthesis means change vs 3 months before:
-MHW 14.9M (+800K)
-RE7 7.0M (+200K)
-RE2R 5.8M (+1.1M)
-SFV 4.1M (+200K)
-DMCV 3.1M (+400K)
-MvCi 1.4M =
-Mega Man Legacy Collecitoin 1.1M =
-SF30th AC 1.1M (+100K)
-Mega Man 11 1.1M (+100K)
(Please notice these ones are updated when they achieve every 100K update)

-RE 95M (+2M)
-MH 60M (+2M)
-SF 44M (+1M)
-Mega Man 35M =
-DMC 21M (+1M)
-MvC 9.3M =
-Dragon's Dogma 4.8M (+100K)
-Okami 2.8M =
(Please notice these ones are updated when they achieve every 100K update in minor IPs and every 1M update in major IPs)

Street Fighter V Champion Edition (pretty much a definitive/ultimate version of SFV with all characters, stages, colors, musics and over 200 costumes) will be released as full retail and digital game this week, so if it sells 100K/200K more will become one of the Capcom's top 10 best selling games ever. It's already their 3rd best selling fighting game ever after SF2 and SF2 Turbo for SNES.

For players who already have a SFV version, there is a SFV Champion Edition upgrade kit DLC for $25/25€ that bundles all that DLC released until now for the game.

for the record, all the numbers for Monster Hunter World are outdated. This is up to December 31 and Capcom released updated version including the PC release in January.

Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
How did you choose what titles to include in the OP, they seem to have a different top ten on the page you link.

Portable MonHuns on spots 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 16, 24, 29, 69, many of these released within a year of each other (or intersected with other home version like Tri) vs taking several years and crazy high production budget for World, cmon capcpom, why's it one or the other, why not both...

Congrats on SFV beating SFIV.
SFIV was still using their older scheme where they were selling different editions rather than just the base game + dlc/passes (it had DLC too later), all IV editions put together set it at 7.8 million according to that list (+1.3 million on top of that for the 3DS port if that has to count truly separately).

That means a lot of double and triple dips.
SFV user base is actually bigger.

I listed in the OP their recent new games, to see how they evolved compared to the previous quarter. In the links you can see the top 10.

It isn't fair to compare SFIV and SFV.
In the old scheme, in these 7.8M the same user was counted several times because we had to buy several full games to be updated.
With the current scheme, that same user is counted only once because you only need to buy a single full game, because the gameplay updates, new gameplay features and game modes are free for everyone.
In addition to this, SFV only has been released in 2 platforms of 1 generation during 4 years. SFIV has been in the market during 11 years and in 6 platforms of two generations.

So SFV is doing a great job, specially if we consider that they have been releasing and selling tons of DLC this 4 years, and that Sony paid part of the development. So if we compare SFV now vs SFIV when it had 4 years (+dlc), it's pretty likely that SFV is being more profitable for them.

This comparision doesn't make a lot of sense specially because SFV has only been released in 2 platforms, and has been only 4 years in the market, and unlike the previous SF series doesn't require to buy a full game to be updated to the last edition with the latest gameplay update/gameplay features/game modes/chars etc, because you get them for free in SFV.

In addition to this, SFV has been receiving a ton of paid DLC (in addition to free DLC or DLC that can be both unlocked or paid) during these 4 years and looking at the online players they sold a ton of DLC, so they made way more money than what that comparision leads to think. We also should consider that Sony paid part of the development, which makes it more profitable.

Ok, where is Onimusha on that list? It didn't surpass 1 million?
It appears in the 'Platinum Titles' linked page of the OP:

Onimusa 1 and 2 sold each around 2M on PS2, and Onimusha 3 around 1.5M on PS2. Other ports / remasters and spinoffs didn't reach 1M copies.

Crazy that RE2 sold 1.1 million at the end of the year. I was one of them, picked it up for 20£ on Xbox. Goes to show that the sales cycle for a game is a lot longer than what people generally think.

I was referring to the remastered one.

False. With a copy of SSFIV, you don’t need to buy another disc. It’s the only original SFIV that you had to buy another disc to get updates.

Nevertheless, your point still stands, SFV is more successful than SFIV.

Monster Hunter being the beast that it should be.

Who would have thought moving away from 21 fps low detail gameplay on a tiny screen would result in more sales?
