So growing up, I didn't really listen to the latest songs that the popular kids listened to. But I remember at a party - Janet Jackson's Together again started playing. I didn't recognize it at first, but I realized that it was a song I've heard before, not on the radio but in a video game:
And after some research - I realized that it was from a level in Sonic Game Gear.
But then after even more research, Sonic GG came out BEFORE Together Again. Whatttt.
I love VG music - and i'm loving the songs that inspired some of my favorites. List more similar ones! I know some of the obvious ones like Doom and Sonic 3, but show me stuff like this:

And of course sadly the infamous one:
