Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will run at 4K 120fps with Ray Tracing on next gen console

You can make a very educated guess. MW couldn't hold 4k/60FPS with no ray-tracing on a 2080Ti. It's all in the math. The bandwidth is just not there. When you guys want to ballpark what you think your next-gen console will do, it's very easy to compare it to the 2080Ti (which has more bandwidth and is faster at rasterizing and ray-tracing). If you know a 2080Ti can't do something, then you can rightfully assume that the next-gen consoles can't either.

I don't think Raven's fork of the engine will be as heavy, and any 120 mode would no doubt be on much lower settings than you probably would run on a 2080Ti to get 60 fps

I think odds are that there are two modes, a 4K(maybe dynamic) RT 60FPS(maybe variable) mode and a 120fps mode at 1080p.

You are really going to compare Call of Duty to Indies games...

Absolutely. If just a few inexperienced people or even just a single individual (as seen with Bright Memory Infinite) can achieve such outstanding results, then hundreds (thousands?) of industry veterans with all the resources at their disposal and latest tech can do at the very least do just as good. They've already been doing 4K60 since mid-gen consoles have been released, that's how new BOPS will be running too as well, so 120FPS on 3-4x more capable consoles is fully expected. The RT is the only big question mark in the whole equation, but again, seeing how they handled RT on PC at 4K60 or FHD at even 200-240FPS without DLSS clearly shows they know what they're doing.

But doesn't it run at 1080p60 on a PS4?

How is a card that's like 10x the power not even getting 4x the performance?

Something doesn't add up there.

The "not adding up" is you assuming the PS4 has the same graphics options as the PC. It doesn't.

Graphics options are such bullshit. The game looks 90% the same on ultra as it does on PS4. I presume a 2080Ti runs it fine at 4k with settings more like console, then?

thinks Halo Infinite is a new graphical benchmark
People like call of duty for its simple gameplay you don’t have to be Crysis levels of graphics

They aren't bullshit at all. Watch more DF videos this new generation to tell the difference.

You guys will tell the difference easily when it's a PS5 3rd party game vs. a PS4 3rd party game. Just like us PC gamers can tell. You just have to have hardware where you are always playing with all options on and then go back to PS4 to see how the difference is jarring.

It's just a bit of polish.

It's about 5% as impressive as when developers actually build a game from the ground up using that power.
