OK I'm losing my mind. I have one room that isn't on this map (near the waterfall) and I seem to have every other room. I've looked at several other maps and still haven't found it. I have 99.90% map coverage.

I do have one room between the ice caves and the giant land that my map shows as not filled in, but my minimap shows it in blue and I can stand it that room and look at the map but it still shows like i haven't been here. I think my game is bugged. Might have to start my NG+ play through anyway.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

44 is easy as hell.

I just need to finish that one!
Yes to the last one and the Harrier is in
Den of Behemoths

Don't tell me it's that stupid race Shinobi guy? I don't like silly quests like that at all! (can I kill him?)

I think I am done with the sidequests as the game has locked me out of them

This is for the Fish Recipe

That is not on here, when I got it ages ago...

This is the Book I need for the Spaghetti Side Quest

It's not come up. I am guessing when the game crashes now and again, it knows you opened up the chest but doesn't register the item. I am pretty annoyed about this really. Then again....I managed to do the Berry Spaghetti and Japanese one...so no idea why I can't do the normal one.

How do you trigger a fight with OD?

Well you can try this, though I have no idea if it will work (I'm on PC, not sure if this was a bug, if there is a difference between platform versions, etc.) I wanted to scout out the route before racing him since he beat me the first time (I wasn't even expecting something to happen when I ran past him so I was caught off guard) so I left the screen, returned, and jumped over the rope that triggers him to run. I went all through the course to the end, and walked through the rope there (not really thinking about it but just definitely know that I did because I went to strike the wall to see if it was a breakable spot).

Anyway, I went back to race him for a second time (passed through the first rope), he still got to the end before me, just barely, and.....somehow I was still counted as winning, he fell over dead, and I got his shard.

Might not work, might be some whacked out fluke that occurred that one time, I don't know.

As for the game itself, I’ve been wondering how is Konami not crushing this under a lawsuit?

I’d have to check reviews before I consider this

Thanks. I managed to do it with that Master Tome and Speed Belt.

My god that enemy is scary on the Train....and I have to try and get the Shard from it too....good times. :\

Where is the Apple?

Nevermind about OD. Found Him.

If Konami wanted to make Castlevania games again all they have to do is ask Iga to do them. He said he at least has 2 more that need to be made.

FUUUUUU!!! I have one trophy left and it was a missable! I think it's called Usurper. Well, I think I might put that Plat on hold for awhile.

Still, what an incredible game.

How do you get that one? (Oh...damn I missed that one with the Sword)

Will ArtPlay fix the bug if you don't own certain books despite opening the Treasures?

Unsure to do NG+ if I don't keep my stuff.

FINALLY got 100%. It was the teleport gate you have to dimension shift past to get to the breakable wall.

Go back to the 4 backer rooms. Sometimes that bugs it out
Thanks, I'll try that. Glad to know someone else looking over the map didn't turn anything up, I've been pulling my hair out on this one.

Also here's that weird room that's glitched out I was talking about:

xqXMLgh.png

It's the one connecting the giant world with the ice level. But, I've walked through that room maybe 100 times now and it still shows up as if it's still missing.

For anyone else having issues with this, there's a spot in the race where you can jump up and teleport through the floor above you and slightly to the left, avoiding a section of the climb on the far right side of the map. If you make the teleport successfully, the rest of the race is very easy.

And the thing you get for winning the race makes completing it well worth your time and effort.

Same for me, but it is still counted for the total.

That happened on mine as well and still got 100%

As wonderful as this game is already, it's crazy to think of the DLC updates that are in development. Do you think OD the librarian will be the playable character in the classic mode? Miriam has way too many abilities for a classic mode, so they'll either have to only use a handful of them, or use a different character.

I'm also really looking forward to seeing what they do with the rogue-like mode. It would be amazing if they could turn the gameplay of Bloodstained into something like Dead Cells.

Part of me doesn't want to get my hopes up for the DLC, but they sure exceeded my expectations with the main game.

I finished it at level 51. 91% of the map, now around 96%. 14.5 hours. Found out a way to grind levels super quickly

90%+ progression spoiler
right before the boss fight with high roller, there’s a save spot after and at the very top there’s a room with a black dragon. I used the book for more exp and it netted me 3k exp per Kill. I hit 50 super fast that way

I’m wondering what to do in the
Celeste Room with the music boxes
, but I haven’t put much time into figuring it out.

What an amazing game. I plan to play Order of Ecclesia again to follow this up. I’ve had a ton of thoughts about this game. There should be a sequel! The DLC isn’t even out yet. Then I was thinking Konami should publish his next game and give him the right to make Castlevania again. Which will probably never happen. I’m so satisfied with this game and it was a wonderful experience. I really enjoyed Order of Ecclesia and Portrait of Ruin years ago. It’s been a long time since a Castlevania style of game made me feel amazing after spending 15+ hours. I finished SOTN on PS1 over a decade ago too. I played through the 3DS Mirror of Fate and that was so bland in comparison. I didn’t care about the map in that game whatsoever.

I did have one crazy glitch. My HP went to 0 and I was still alive during a boss fight. I had the game saved right before, so I did the fight the correct way. That was just weird. I reported it to the Bloodstained social media page. It literally had me at 0 HP. I could see damage from their attacks and I could attack. I just didn’t die. It was super weird. This was in version 1.03 too.

Konami should make a Castlevania Collection 2 and credit the man who just made your last 5+ years of Castlevania look shallow by comparison.

My game started to crash randomly. Sometimes it crashes repeatedly just a few minutes after starting, other times it can go on for the entire day without issue. I can't farm shards without fearing the game could crash in any moment.

spent some time farming various shards cos the Master Carpenter was royally kicking my butt. so easy to just find yourself running around this map killing monsters for hours and hours.

I beat him by using invert when he summons demons.

Finally mopped up the couple of demons I hadn't yet beat:
  • The creepy dude from the train
  • O.D.
  • Iga
The best part is having all the books from the library. And also another achievement knocked out. Next is to complete the shards list, am currently at 96% so I think that means I'm missing just 4 or 5. I just have that one, getting 500,000G, and completing the item list then I'll have them all.

Game Sack just reviewed this game. That's pretty cool, considering they don't normally review newer games.

Lots of area and ability spoilers, though. I'd suggest only watching if you've already played through the game, or that sort of thing doesn't bother you.

Adding an inverted castle with extra areas as a dlc, paid even, would make this a 22 out of 10 game.

They're already developing a ton of free content, including two more playable characters, a classic mode (which I assume will be single stage layouts of most of the map environments and bosses) and a rogue-like mode (which I'm guessing will be something like Dead Cells or Rogue Legacy).

I'd rather have even half of that, than I would an upside down castle with a few new areas. Once all that is done, I'd be happy to pay for even more DLC, though. I definitely agree with you there.

I finally finished my first run (I know I’m pretty slow gamer) and god damn I enjoyed crap out of this game. Some rough spots on technical side but it was still fantastic.

What a game! What a god damn game! If you played SotN and didn’t have it on your mind while playing RotN, then I don’t know what to say. RotN defined “Metroidvania” properly and Igarashi did a BRILLIANT job with this one!

Can you make all the ingredients?

I read that one update prevented chests from giving you items, which has screwed me out of the Items achievement.

Can I go into NG+ on a different save keeping my items?????

Beaten final boss... Just got to tidy up the locked rooms & a few bits :p
If you're like me and are going for a 100% item run, get ready to play another 20+ hours! :D

Nah, I'm good on items, thanks.... Didn't even get the best greatsword since I never got the stuff needed :p I'll want to get dlc & play that when it's available, though :D

Beat the final boss, 98% or so. It was a lot of fun but I cannot be bothered grinding like crazy to 100% everything.
Great game overall, performance (standard ps4) is not great but doesn't detract from the game apart from one fight with massive slowdown
the gambler demon when he pulls out his casino chips I was getting crazy slowdown
Time to move to the next game in the backlog!

His HP is related to how much money you have.... If you have hardly any, he dies in a few hits :p
Is that true? That’s clever. I love when developers use interesting designs for the bosses.

That was in the digital foundry analysis, it drops down into the teens when he does that, even on Pro. I thought it was my magic plus the chips causing it when it happened to me, but it's just a programming flaw.

I had about 200-300 & he went in 4 or 5 hits :p Supposedly, if you manage to go in absolutely broke, he just dies but can't confirm that :D Ask those who had long fight how much money they had? :)

I had 20,000G when encountered him, I think thats he was able to refilled his money health.

That whole area has tons of chests with money in it just to mess you up when you get there too.

Anyway, finally beat the game at about 27 hours. 99.80% on the map, so I don't know what I'm missing. That's frustrating.

Fuck it. This game is in my top 10 all time. This the first game that went GOTCHA with force and i didnt resist. It's like a pizza with a crust thats just right, the sauce is perfect, the cheese is perfect with a light crisp and classic stretchiness, and all my favorite toppings perfecky proportioned.

This is the first game in a long time i intend to fully 100% on everything. Funny thing is, map is at 99%, im 30 hours in and only level 58. I have the strongest gear in the game, and the funny thing is,
i haven't even bothered with OD yet. Hes low on my priority list. Yes having all tomes is great, but everything already dies quickly with me wearinmy friggin luck set for farming. I'll get to alucard i mean avid book reader and totally not alucard, the man known as OD...not alucard.

Im too busy atm gatheribg up shards, materials and gear to bother with him. Getting crafting shit, weapons, gear and items to drop is the hardest and longest boss in the game by a country light year.

Still love the fuck outof this game despite its flaws like some god awful texture resolution and design of some rooms.

I haven’t got that either but if have to guess, those cow enemies with wing on their backs might drop some.
I finally found a decent site. Took me a while. It's the most basic cow enemies in Garden of Silence, and it's an 8% drop. Weird. Should have had multiples by now. Oh well.

Played a ton more of this today and made a lot of progress. Level 34, 69.2% map completion and just under 13 hours of playtime now. Was stuck for a bit early on and turned to a walk through and glad I did as I'm not sure I'd have realized I needed to
talk to the librarian to be able to ride the train. I already had the photo etc.
Otherwise, made good progress without getting lost/stuck again. The Bloodless boss was pretty damn tough, other bosses I hit today were pretty easy. Hit one annoying platforming section with spinning blades on top and bottom and heads flying at you--got past it, but kind of sucky that it was just an HP Max as reward and then having to go back through that room.

I also found Gebel and got the bad ending and found the
8-Bit Nightmare
section that was a cool surprise. But I was way underleveld for it so had to nope out of there for now.

The Welcome Company shard (the enchanted portraits coming from the background) trivializes all clocktower-like spike rooms with those annoying heads. In fact, that shard makes most of the game a lot easier. I used it for most of my playthrough.

My newest absurdly powerful exploit I just figured out.

Get the Directional Shard that does the holy blast for 60 magic / second. Val something or other, forget the name. Mine's also max upgraded.

Just tap the button as lightly as possible for not even a full second. You shoot out a laser thin beam of light instantly across the screen that does a ton of damage, and basically costs zero MP. You can spam this over and over. I'm doing post game stuff so my damage is pretty high, but I'm getting 250 damage shots constantly, and crits at 400+ for basically zero MP. And it's fun as hell to spam it.

Yeah, I started using that after that room. I'm not sure it would help there as the heads weren't as much a problem as just not being able to consistently make the jumps without whacking my head on the ceiling blades. I think you need to "feather" tap the buttons and that just doesn't work consistently on my Xbox Elite controller for whatever reason.

If I remember the room correctly, a travel shard you should have at that point makes it much easier as you can travel through it without jumping.
