At a time when visual effects studios have de-aged veteran actors, allowed human performers to inhabit digital creations, and even brought deceased artists back for postmortem performances, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that a VFX studio can also make it possible for you to find yourself chatting with an artificially intelligent digital person about your favorite books and mutually lamenting the inability to visit a movie theater. No doubt that Autonomous Digital Humans will be become a thing of the foreseeable future.
Remember that Digital Domain is a VFX company founded by James Cameron and (the late) Stan Winston, so maybe Skynet is not so far away after all.

Look, I hate to be a prick but they seriously had to choose this guy as the model?

I couldn't tell who was the robot in the Zoom meeting in the first video because the real guy's face is fucked up as is - he's got a problem with the right side of his face that makes him look weird in real life.

I'm sorry for being mean but it detracts from the value of their tremendous efforts.

Founded by James Cameron.

Avatar 2, I'm ready.

Just a side note -> the Lead Visual Effects company was Weta Digital, for Avatar ("To help finish preparing the special effects sequences on time, a number of other companies were brought on board, including Industrial Light & Magic, which worked alongside Weta Digital to create the battle sequences. ILM was responsible for the visual effects for many of the film's specialized vehicles and devised a new way to make CGI explosions").
And so it seems to be with the sequels

"their Senior Director of Software R&D"
Guess who is having their 'boss' zoom call HR to give them a bonus and extra paid time off.

Somebody already has.
It so happened that I came across (on twitter) a deepfake with Scarlet Johansson doing porn, the other day. So deepfakes in porn are out and about.
I think they deepfaked Scarlet Johansson over the Russian woman named Polina.
This is Polina below. She kinda has facial similarities with Scarlet Johansson.

I can't believe we're discussing porn again. It pops up everywhere in our culture.

Same gonna happen with Metahumans.
