Have you seen Apple's TV offerings? I don't think focusing exclusively on PG-13 (or less) content will scare Netflix et al. anytime soon.

And that's their plan so far, no "adult" content (as in, targeted at adults, not necessarily porn - although of course they are against porn too, the prudes they are).

They are still very young in this industry. Like gaming, movies too need time to be made. They need more experience. I think that later on their output will contain more adult/sex content.

Isn't this really down to that both Apple and Google want a % cut of all in-app purchases for every app that are hosted on eiter Playstore or Appstore? On android, MS can get away with it by not being on playstore, and just let users install the app through an sms or other means, but on an iDevice there are no orher way to install the app, but through AppStore. (without jailbreaking it)

Flip it around and if Apple had a cloud gaming service do you think MS would allow that on Xbox ?

Hell no they wouldn't same reason why GeForce Now or other cloud streaming services are not present on Xbox.

Steam Home streaming is allowed on iOS because its local LAN & it disables game purchase so only what you own from buying on PC works. Shadow (a cloud PC service) works on a subscription service so it basically a remote desktop and is also allowed on iOS.

So I think it a bit of a stretch for MS to call out Apple on this.

Apple said the update violated an App Store rule that doesn't let developers show "irrelevant" information to users. Imagine if MS allowed a streaming service like Geforce now on their Windows OS!!!!!

Oh, wait they do. And PS now, and basically anything else under the sum.

The arguments and massive antitrust lawsuits coming Apples way is directly because they need to behave more like a OS, like windows does.

Actually I can confirm after using the Android Game Pass app for streaming that you can NOT make purchases through the app. When you try to go to the DLC store it tells you that feature is disabled.

That pretty much nullifies this entire argument.

Also I want to mention that I'm purchasing a Note 20 5G today and getting off iPhone specifically because they won't allow Game Streaming apps.
