What are you hopeful to see at PlayStation Experience this year? Why?

Please list reasons, not just vague lists, otherwise thread is getting locked.

Your reasons could also be speculative. They kinda have to since unless you're under NDA, we don't know what's going on.

Personally, I'm pretty excited about this year's PSX mostly because the system is finally started to get it's stream of major Japanese developed releases--SFV, SE JRPGs, Persona 5, etc.

The realist in me knows the industry has shifted and the PS4 won't be a Japanese powerhouse like the PS2, both in sales and in support, in it's home country.

But it's nice that SE is giving it a lot of love.

I'm also looking forward to Last Guardian footage. I think we'll some this year to whet the appetite of Ueda fans.

And finally, I'm looking forward to more info on God of War 4--this is a long shot--and Gran Turismo Sport, my favorite Sony exclusive franchises.

Megaton predictions?

I don't know. It's gonna be hard to top e3! I think the biggest would be TLG trailer.

I'm not expecting any big announcements from third parties as they usually have their own PR schedules. But I can see some timed exclusive DLC stuff announced.

What are your predictions, thoughts, and things you're hopeful to see and why?

Demon's Souls Remastered

Because I friggin' love Souls games, Demon's Souls is right after Bloodborne my favorite Souls game, but I don't want to setup my PS3.

Only thing I want is 1080p, 60 FPS and the bloom to be fixed, that's it.

Megatons for me personally:

Ape escape hd collection/ape escape 4- to few games like these are coming out now and ape escape was always fun and i imagine with today's climate they will try to incorporate multiplayer which if done right could be really cool.

I'm hoping to see some Final Fantasy VII Remake footage. Well, it's a game everyone really wanted, myself included, and I am really damn curious about how it is shaping up to be.

Also, some news about PS1 and PS2 emulators on PS4, as well as trophy support on these old games. The collector in me goes crazy over this stuff. :)

Of course, some Street Fighter V content would ne nice as well. Easily the game of 2016 for me, I'll play it like mad.

Mainly PS1 + PS2 emulation, it's been a long time coming I want to hear about it in detail.
PSP + Vita TV emulation would be a great bonus also.

Matter of fact I'm more excited about any OS/PSN features that we might get than games.
Give me folder support, Make the media player even better, Let me change my PSN ID, Let me gift games and PS+ subscriptions over the store, make remote play 1080p for local networks

Jack Tretton walks on to the stage.

Announces Agent, releasing Q1 2016.

Trailer plays.

Tretton drops the mic and walks off stage.

The End.

More info/gameplay or a trailer for FF7R. It's my most hyped game and we're supposed to be getting info sometime soon.

And Crash coming home of course. What better way to celebrate 30 years of PS than with the character still synonymous with the brand even though it went multi platform
and died
years ago?

1. Dino Crisis 3- DC3 on Xbox is written out of continuity, Regina returns as the protagonist to save Dylan

2. Devil May Cry 5- not outsourced, no recycled bosses or areas, unless they're exceedingly good). Three distinct stories and locales for Dante, Vergil and Nero who all play noticeably different. Itsuno at the helm, looking to make the series fresh while preserving its identity

3. Resident Evil 7- I think for this one Capcom should look to the Soul's series for inspiration along with TLOU. Game is set in a large metropolitan area, with varying locales. Set during what seems to be a city wide outbreak, players attempt to flee the city or survive long enough to be evacuated. Players scavenge for resources, use acquired blueprints and schematics to build weapons, supplies, etc. Players can invade other players games in order to steal supplies and don't have to directly confront the player but can raid their stronghold to receive a lesser percentage of their supplies. Players can gather other npc survivors to protect their base but then have to provide for them as well. Players can also ignite flares to summon players to their game to tackle a difficult area but also invites unwelcome npc's, players and creatures to the area as well. I envision this being an amalgam of, RE; Outbreak, TLOU, DrkS and The Division.

4. Dragon's Dogma 2- not much to say here besides this needs to happen

5. God of War; Valhalla/Ragnarok- Could star Thor or some other person from Norse mythology but I think that this mythology lends itself the greatest to the brutality of the series and allows for creatures and bosses that would shame those in the Greek games

way too soon for any TLG reveals imo. game looks very unfinished and is probably not out until 2018-2020, we should just be patient and let them take their time.

Sony Bend's game and God of War.

Also Final Fantasy 7 Remake official name and footage.

Yeah, I seriously doubt the latter lol. Especially how they've taken their sweet time with FFXV and KH3.

So you're saying a 12 year development time? The game was revealed in 2007!

God of War 4 announcement - Barlog confirmed it at last year's PSX and the timing seems right to announce it. They've also teased it with this gif in GoW videos this year:

KeV3np.gif

FFVIIR Title - SE confirmed news was coming in winter. It's probably too early for much else but a title.

Kingdom Hearts III D23 Japan trailer - This event was hyped all year for KH news and barely anything was released to the public. I could see new stuff being added to it for the public release. I'm not really expecting it though.

Mainly interested in hearing about BC for PS1/PS2 games, but only if trophies are supported. Echoing what's been said above, the collector in me has a strong itch for that stuff.

Otherwise, game reveals and PSVR info. This is the event to tout VR as a godsend if Sony wants to begin cornering the market. Price, release date, final specs, and software lineup please.

PSN Gifting - We recently just got a Wishlist function out of the blue, and it makes logical sense to add gifting to fulfill wishlists for friends.

PS1 and PS2 Classics with Local Emulation - We know PS2 Classics is coming, and there's no reason to suspect PS1 won't come also, but the only real speculation is if we can play our own PS1 and PS2 disks, and that is what I am hoping is going to be at PlayStation Experience.

Crash Bandicoot - I am running a fools errand by being hyped and expecting such a megaton announcement, but let me be. There has been numerous teases and coincidences, and after Sony has been majorly pushing the 20th Anniversary of PlayStation with the console, controllers, headset, steelbook box, merchandise (wallet, bags) I think they are hinting towards something big, and PlayStation Experience would be a good place to do it.

No Man's Sky VR - If you check my post history, deep in there every time No Man's Sky is brought up I always refer to the speculation that it's almost definitely coming to PSVR, and I would just like official confirmation, that's all. It's the perfect title for it, and seems it could be launch title or launch period title. One more showing at PlayStation Experience announcing VR would be great.

PlayStation VR price - After some speculation by serversurfer and looking at the cost of the PSVR headset, I am really exicted at the prospect of a reasonably priced VR headset. It would be nice to have another nail in the negative-VR coffin of those that think we're going to be spending £300+ on PSVR when in fact it could cost half of that.

Final Fantasy VII Remake footage - I'm hoping it's not at Jump Fiesta, but we know we are getting some more details either PSX and/or Jump Fiesta and would like to see more footage, preferably in-engine stuff.

Beyond that, I'm happy for anything else. We know God of War 4 is coming, we'll be seeing more Street Fighter V. Bring it on for anything else.

Honestly just firmware announcements the ps4 is missing stuff that made the ps3 awesome custom backgrounds folders and basic organization nothing can get me pumped up more then those announcements

Trailer for Zero Escape 3: Zero Time Dilemma. And a new Persona 5 trailer would be sweet too.

God of War 4 announcement - Barlog confirmed it at last year's PSX and the timing seems right to announce it. They've also teased it with this gif in GoW videos this year:

Yea, this too. Forgot abt GoW4.

I really want to see Bend's open world horror game, looking forward to GoW 4 too since it sounds like they're shaking it up.

Also want to see more of Fat Princess Adventures. The original was one of the best PS3 games.

Really just want to see GOW 4 at this point, don't care if it's a CG trailer. Going to be very interesting to see where SSM take the franchise from here, for me they are the most technically talented team Sony have so if nothing else the game will look great........the game will be amazing though, Barlog being back and all.

I am excited to find my birth mother. This old diary's last entry is from 1991, and it says she was heading to San Fransisco. Grandmother says to give up hope, but I never will. She's out there and she wants me to find her. That's why she left me this book!

"I am going to San Fransisco. I want to get in my Camaro, play my favorite station, and experience something uncharted for once."

Don't you see??

More system software updates, want a new Library section with custom folders, sorting, and hiding games and betas. Pinning tiles on the dynamic menu would be nice as well.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... alrighty then!

PSN name change - Lots of people want it and it's something Xbox has always had.

This would be great.

Not getting hopes to high for huge games, but honestly would like some more persona 5 footgae, new street fighter character, maybe some vita news and demon souls ps4 remastered. Would be nice to see all these things

Crash Bandicoot's resurgence and Crash Team Racing 2 (blah blah Nitro Kart blah blah Tag Team Racing BLAH BLAH) with graphics done by Insomniac and gameplay/maps done by Sumo Digital (or just copy/pasted from Crash Team Racing because that was perfection already).

Also, completely left field, but Red Faction. Could be a nice uprezzed port of Guerrilla with 60fps, or a proper sequel with an open world and lots of destruction. I felt a little steamy watching the crackdown destruction stuff, but I need that kind of feel on my PS Quadruple. Need a big sledgehammer, and a structurally questionable building made of space-plaster to knock down. Gimme gimme.

I really only want to see the gameplay of FFVII Remake, as it's my most anticipated game by far.

If it's turn-based, I'll stay hyped and then some.

If it's action, eehhhhhhhhhhhh.

I want them to commit to making the UI better... Horizontal was a bad idea, it's like they didn't imagine people having more than 10 things installed on their system at one time. And the library really doesn't help much at all.

If they come out and say that Dark Cloud 2 will in some form be available to play on my PS4 (with trophies, etc) I'll be the happiest guy on the planet.

FFVII remake would be cool to see. Also FFXIIHD.

Other than that, nothing much. There is nothing really major that I'm hoping for or expecting.

Hmm, what am I hopeful to see?

Some type of return to the classic PlayStation Catalog: Crash, Twisted Metal, Parappa, even a new PlayStation All Stars. Something like that, which is either a return to classic titles, or a title with classic PlayStation Characters, like All Stars. Good time to wax the nostalgia for PlayStation fans/owners.

PlayStation VR Date and Price - Unless it is launching in the fall, this would be one of the last big media gatherings to really hype the PSVR. Get the price and the date out there, and let us all plan accordingly. I really dont know when would be a better time to announce this.

PlayStation OS updates - new features such as better organization, Changing your PSN Name, PS2 backwards compatibility details. They have been somewhat quite on that front since the last big OS update. At least they could explain some features coming early 2016.

A couple of the game reveals we know are coming!!!

PS1/PS2 emulation
Demon's souls Remaster
Yakuza 0, Ishin, Kenzan localization
New 1st party JRPG by Japan Studio
Dragon Quest 11 western release date
Level 5 JRPG

I want to see Suckerpunch's new game because they've been silent for a long time now. They should be near to having something tangible by now.
