Gears Of War: E-Day Multiplayer Premiere is live

I bet it'll be pretty fun.

I also bet it'll be sweat lord paradise after a week and become virtually unwinnable for like 70% of players lol

Yeah. Interested in the co-op modes but what you said is pretty much the rule now for any multiplayer that isn't one of the top dawgs with a massive player pool, isn't it?
 
Looks great, will grab this when it drops in price a bit and cry like a man baby that everyone is so much better than me at PvP like I have for the past 20 years playing Gears.
 
They should ship this game with a mic so us Unc's can go back to our roots and talk trash in the multiplayer that would be a pretty good PR given how dead social interactions seem to be on multiplayer lobbies these days.
 
Ill play this eventually but probably not day 1. All the Gears games go on sale cheap as hell often.


I would be more hyped for Gears Tactics 2. That game is underrated as hell.

Also get the Hivebusters story expansion, honestly it's better than the main campaign. It's very fuckin' good in-fact.

Self contained so you don't need to have any knowledge of what's happening in the main game.

I never played the expansion only the campaign so I will dive in tonight

We're happy to reveal the (Metallica-soundtracked!) first trailer for Multiplayer, as well as a full deep-dive packed with new information.

The trailer kicks us off with a wild look at both Horde Siege, the new 12-player, three-squad player-versus-environment experience and the return of Versus, before The Coalition's developers dive much deeper.

Along the way, we get more information on Horde Siege, an evolution of the beloved original Horde mode. Set across the biggest multiplayer maps ever seen in the series, Horde Siege sets three squads of four out on their own individual missions across the same stage, resulting in wildly unpredictable battles. There's a lot to learn here – from how classes work, to how optional objectives reward you and your squad—so make sure to watch for all the details.

And that's only half of it—we also learn about the return of Versus. The classic player-versus-player experience has also evolved with the addition of E-Day's new movement mechanics, allowing for the squad-based chaos you're familiar with, and brand-new ways to make clutch plays to win the round for your side. We also found out about the four modes included in Versus, and even got a tease to what's coming to the game after launch.

After you've watched the trailer and deep dive, the best way to experience Multiplayer is to play it yourself. Drop into the Early Access Open Beta starting August 6 with pre-order on Xbox Series or Steam, or with a Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscription.

My wife and I are gonna be playing this new siege mode all the time, horde mode was our jam.

Multiplayer vs looks absolutely sick too, I am impressed!

Can't wait!

It was kinda weird but I've actually played this Gears 5 campaign on a free steam weekend back in 2020.
 
Looks awesome man. I love old school gears PvP. I know it looks janky to some but they seem to have kept the core gameplay intact for the old heads while making it look less gaimie
