That was months ago when it was announced that Doublefine ran out of money and was considering asking for more to finish the game.

It's supposed to be in two parts. First part was to avoid having backers wait even more time for the game to come out and fund the rest of the game instead of asking more people to back it.

2nd portion is supposed to come out in May, but I'm not sure if their plans have changed or not. Haven't really followed their backer announcements.

When you buy the game on early access, you'll get both parts is what he means. It won't be DLC, just a title update to push the other side of the story in when it's completed.

A two year journey has nearly come to a close. It's been a great ride. I can't wait to revisit the older documentary episodes after I finish the game. That alone has been more than worth the price of admission.

The people working on the game say to play Part 1 when it comes out, it's polished already and ends at a good stopping point. No gamebreaking bugs at this point.

The impression I got was that they're going to give out Steam keys to backers for a Beta on Tuesday, then sometime before the end of the month the game goes on sale through Early Access to the general public (assuming no crazy bugs).

The game looks utterly incredible. The art style and quality is astonishing, the music gives me chills every time I hear it, and then the way everything comes together with its voice acting and animation makes me so happy with the direction of the project.

I'm so conflicted about whether I should play part 1 now or wait for the whole thing to be done...
