I was watching a few videos of the game on Youtube and it looks like they finally changed the spelling of Faint Attack to Feint Attack. Only took a decade. I was always confused why they didn't do it in Gen 3 when they didn't need to keep connectivity and the cards had already switched over in Gen 2.

So I was playing Amie and had a request of "Close your eyes and make a kissy face". Yeah, there is no way I'll be doing that in public/at work. Hilarious, though!

Has anyone talked about the new Grass type "weather condition" Grass Terrain? It's description is "The user turns the ground under everyone's feet to grass for five turns. This restores the HP of Pokemon on the ground a little every turn". Floette learns it at level 27.
But Floette floats... so it doesn't get the benefit?

I'd also say that Speed is the stat in which every single point really matters. For example, a Pokemon with 99 base Speed will be WAY less viable than a Pokemon with 101 base Speed.
It also depends on how much has 100 base speed or more than 101 or less than 99.

Certain HP values are similar with certain borders being where 1 base stat matters (as in x means you did to y fixed damage moves while x+1 means you die to y+1 of those)

So how's the exp gain - is it like old gen (I-IV) or new gen (V)?
I'd assume gen V as rare Pokemon seem to give me more than common pokemon, even at the same level. Also EXP is never divided (outside of EXP all). Say I were to get 100 EXP, everything that participated gets 100, be it one or 6 participants. I'm 90% sure that EXP all gives non participants half but those that did participate still get all.

So even if you turn EXP all off, you could feasibly still get well levelled.

They must have changed the shiny encounter rate significantly. I find it odd that this many are being found so quickly.
What is the Gen V probability? How many current owners would you estimate? All of them pooled together might make it quite likely even if the odds are low (kind of like the lottery, a given person is unlikely to win but a given draw is likely to have a winner).

It should be interesting to see it explode over the next few days.

There's an NPC standing outside in the town with the Fossil Lab who gave it to me.

And Onix is on the spreadsheet as being in a dark spot, so I guess Rock Smashing is an alternate way to get it.

Keep me updated on anything else you find :) Going to use Rock Smash on Route 8 now and see what comes up.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to the metagame slowing down. I really haven't enjoyed the past two generations' competitive scene at all.

Mega Heracross looks like it should be its own Pokemon. It looks absolutely nothing like Heracross so it's a bit jarring when all the other Mega evolutions showcase a fair few similarities to its predecessor.

Fortunately I don't care for Heracross. Just show me my damn Mega Tyranitar in-game shots. :P

YES! Mega Heracross and Mega Banette are AWESOME! I like Mega Pinsir, too, but I don't think I'll love him until I understand how his wings work.

Also, saw some new Coro Coro scans -- the arms on Chesnaught fuse together into a green shield that then propels spikes at the enemy!!

It got really stupid how fast the metagame was getting, it'll be interesting to see how much it will slow down, if at all.

My copy is coming in tomorrow between 9-13 :D

The weather nerfs and fairy type should help calm stuff down. Swift Swim, Chlorophyll and Sand Rush were getting ridiculous. Maybe Excadrill will get unbanned now. :lol

Can't wait to yell "CHANGE BEETLE" and "CHANGE STAG BEETLE" when using Mega Heracross and Mega Pinsir...

Serebii found a new Mega Stone but is keeping it secret...Manetric or Houndoom?

EDIT: SOMEONE ON VP JUST FOUND AN ALAKAZAMITE!

Should I decide to buy X in the future to give myself a Charmander to my Y, will I be stuck with an X mega stone or will I be able to buy a Y megastone for Charizard in my Y game?

One of the legit leakers on /VP/, or one of the people who leak but never post pictures?

Seems like every route has a Pokemon exclusive to hoardes, for example Route 5 has Scraggy, Route 7 has Hoppip, Route 8 has Wingull and Taillow and Route 10 has Nosepass.
