You are probably looking for an escape from bad MMOs. I'd reccomend SAO if you want something more on the nose.

That was a bad episode... But it still had enough MMO tropes in it to keep me hooked. And I guess it was interesting in a different kind of way. I mean, the first half was all about Asuna going back to the kitchen, while the second had Kirito going full-blown Gary Stu mode.
Next week should be good.

I get this really guilty feeling if I don't finish a game eventually, so I always try to at least get to the end credits, even if I don't get all the extras. I feel like I wasted my money if I didn't.
As did I. XD Good times, that game was.
Ditto, but I have accumulated so much guilt over the past two years that I've simply accepted it and now I barely get 5 hours into most of my games.

Nice to get some Kenji focus. He's been out of the spotlight for most of this arc, but this episode gives him some great moments.
Mizoguchi continues to be a paranoid ass.
Mutta is also great. I loved
The arc is close to a finish now, and I have to say that I've really enjoyed everything up to this point. The focused setting and confined interactions have done a lot for this show.
I've gotten so bad about this in the last two years, but I feel like I'm improving lately. But my backlog is still way too massive.
Nice to get some Kenji focus. He's been out of the spotlight for most of this arc, but this episode gives him some great moments.
That scene with him in the bathroom was really well executed. I felt like I was really in his mind, and his epiphany carried a ton of weight.
Mutta is also great. I loved
his random shouts and subsequent embarrassment.

They've talked about them and what they do before, even having Rito pretend to be his father for a meeting with Mikan's teacher, but this is the first time they've properly been there with them.

As you would expect from an episode titled "Chinatsu Unrivaled", this episode was mainly about China-hime and her unrequited crush on Yui-senpai. I didn't actually count the number of times I heard "Yui-senpai" but I'm sure it was a lot. The karaoke segment took up most of the episode and was pretty much hilarious all the way through, only to be surpassed by Chinatsu and Yui's date which took up the remainder of the episode.
So, since this episode is about Chinatsu, let's talk about Chinatsu and why she's the best Yuru Yuri.
(1) She has pink hair. I like pink hair. Pink hair is cute. Given the choice between other hair colors and pink, it's clear what the best choice is. It's pink!
(2) She's actually the most lesbian of the 4 main characters. Her internal monologue is pretty funny during this episode where she almost questions whether having a lesbian crush on Yui is okay or not. But none of the other main characters are ever implied to really be lesbian in the way that Chinatsu so overtly is. Even Sakurako and Himawari, and Kyouko and Yui, and Ayano and Kyouko, don't actually seem to want to kiss each other (outside of Chitose's fantasies). Chinatsu, on the other hand, actually fantasizes about kissing Yui and even practices with Akarin back in season 1.
(3) Her personality is the most dichotomous and interesting of the 4 main characters. Despite being apparently the cutest (and looking just like a magical girl), she harbors the darkest thoughts of the group. Maybe that manifests in her incredibly frightening artwork, which we get to see in all of it's horror as the ED of this episode. It was actually partly in 3D too, which only compounded the horror in another dimension! Her inability to maintain the Mirakurun cosplay is a rather entertaining example of this, she can't pretend to be cute forever and eventually when the actor's facade drops, young children discover the truth behind the actor and the veil of innocence is stripped away. "Life is sour," indeed.
So, there you have it. Um, I didn't mean to write this much. This happens a lot when I have an idea and just start writing. This goes for other things I've been planning to write about here as well.

I will say though, this is like NTR of that guy from last week. I guess it's neat that all these characters know each other in some way, but it also feels a bit too convenient. I wonder if the other guy wrote more love poems after seeing the girl hook up with this new dude anyway.
