I will not take this Ethan slander. Mf attached his own limbs with bottled juice, you lot can only dream to be like him! :messenger_unamused:

Grace was cool, loved her sections, hadn't had this much fun since RE7. Leon was just more Leon, it was fine. His one liners were funny.

Gay that the "Final Puzzle" was solved by data mining instead of actual community collaboration, RE faithful were on the right track. Some of the steps are ridiculously obtuse though, worse than CoD zombies lol

there! had a great time! first hour or so had me wondering a little, but once things settled in? it was just one big, beautiful nostalgic blast from the past...

most favorite part:
leon in raccoon city. crazy fun...
least favorite part:
the ark. went on a bit too long...
biggest disappointment:
it isn't ada that rescues them at the very end?! you're fucking kidding!...

anyway, will begin my first replay tomorrow. meanwhile, all praise to capcom! thanks for an excellent game!!!...

Loving my time with it. Not rushing this like most people are, that's for sure.

Just about to get fuel at the tank in Racoon City. The enemies with the machine guns were ridiculous, but adds more tension to the experience.

At every turn there's something going on. Maybe over the top at times but it's fun. I'm okay with the story. I don't usually get too critical about stories in general. When you start to over analyze something like that it kind of kills the experience imo.

The whole ranking of your run is something I never cared about in RE. I guess the idea of going through as fast as I can is cool but not saving is just stressful.

First playthrough you gotta savor it.

Just got to the courtyard. Having a blast with it but I'm taking my time. Really enjoying the tension and suspense playing as Grace and trying to figure shit out. 7 is my favorite in the franchise but this might dethrone 2r as my second favorite the way it's going.

Holy shit. I'm in love with this game!

I just Reunited with Leon at the big door with orange lighting everywhere and paused the cutscene for the night. I'll pick it back up in the morning and probably finish it up before lunch as I can't imagine there is too awfully much left.

I got so fucking excited to see MY BOY FUCKING HUNK HOLY SHIT LETS FUCKING GO MOTHERFUCKER. That boss fight was hype as fuck. I know he's not a pivotal character really overall but I've always thought Hunk was so damn cool and I got so excited that I stood up right after killing him. It's been so long since I got so excited during boss fight like that. I think the last time was one of the fights in FFXVI

Well that would've been much better. It was ridiculous to me to see all these regular enemies there. That expanded plant section. I loved seeing that. Do more stuff like that. We should've arrived to seeing skeleton fragments all over the place to show how basically all living is gone.

Why are we looking for logic in a game with fictional zombie viruses where enemies get up from having their whole head blown off? The zombies could be self regenerating/sustaining for all we know. Even the zombies in RE1 got up later on after taking them out.

In terms of the story, I feel the middle part where Grace interacts with Emily and the buildup there where Grace and the player starts to get attached to protecting Emily was the best. I really did not like Emily dying, so in terms of story impact, devs were successful there. Also, "the girl" is the most memorable "zombie". The story with them making copies of Grace is also quite twisted and impactful.

It's pretty obvious Grace isn't a Field Agent, she wasn't sent in to engage or anything, just investigating a empty building, either way I prefer her to whatever Ethan was.
She was sent to investigate the building where her mother was murdered with a potential disease being the reason of the current body. She should have an escort at the LEAST, in case something weird happens.

Honestly, if I was Grace and I survived, the first thing I would do was go back to work and shoot my boss on the head.

I just finished the
motorbike highway segment
and HOLY SHIT! I don't think I've ever had this adrenaline surge in RE action horror segments ever before - so fucking good!! And those cinematic shots of
Raccoon City as you jump high on the sky in slow motion?
SO FUCKING GOOD!!

For some reason I missed the map for the racoon tuckers??

is it worth going out or my way to get the map (does it tell you exactly where they are or just the rough area?

The map is inside one of the safes in the Care Center I think, but it only shows the Racoons in the Care Center. And yes, it shows their exact locations on the map.

I'm enjoying Leons section, but I can't help but feel that it's objectively worse than RE4make. RE4 Leon had waaay more of an arsenal, a better parry you could get off multiple times (vs it being a locked in animation like in 9), contextual dodges/dodging under grabs, and better movement in RE4. This one also has some weird pause whenever Leon does some long contextual melee animation, like all the enemies around him just stop and wait their turn. Leon also can't shoot thrown weapons out of the air (at least I wasn't able to after testing it for a bit), and you don't have stuff like grenade collisions with thrown hatchets. It definitely isn't as clean a combat system as RE4make.

The arena design for combat sections (like the village, clocktower, or water room) and the bosses in RE4 were better, and IMO it's the series gold standard still. Nothing in 9 compares to Krauser or Verdugo.

Hunk and his unit were cool, but too short lived to be of any real consideration. Wish they had more build up to him. 20+ years of the fanbase sucking HUNK off just for him to be Leon fodder in 3 minutes lmfao
RE4 also has GOATed atmosphere and tension. A fine middle ground between action and horror. This game just goes all out and basically feels like Gears or something.

This whole search the 3 parts of the detonator has been kinda dull, ngl, hopefully i'm close to be done with this part.

The previous locations were much better.

They should have used racoon city much better than this, although i'm not done yet so maybe it gets better later.
You're not actually in raccoon city proper, but east raccoon, you're in the section the army did evacuations, the wall is there to prevent people from going into the city. So after you get the detonator is when you head to the locales from RE2

Yeah honestly I'm disappointed they didn't have us go to more memorable locations. They could have redeemed themselves for RE 3 and added in the clocktower after RPD or something.

You ll love RE5 and 6

Played them. RE5 was meh, RE6 was dogshit. The action set pieces in Requiem are so much better and are placed in just the right time for me.

RE5 was an amazing coop game back in the day. Platinum the game along with a buddy of mine, it was damn fun.

But if you play it alone yeah, I suspect it can fall under the meh section.

RE6 has it's moments. It's much more action oriented and I honestly enjoyed it, but I understand why many people throw it into the bin.

I enjoyed the shit out of it playing solo.

I would like modders to make a night time mod for Raccoon City. I think this area would've been better looking, not only visually with Pathtracing but more immersive scary as well with complete darkness

I am still happy with what we go but hopefully someone decides to make this at some point

One of my favorite video game vlogger started her live playthrough. Peachy milky. Its been while since her last playthrough.

There is alway hope, there is a modder already fixing RE3R

Can't agree more.

These are terrible pics from my cell phone on a crap work monitor but is this happening to anyone else? The straps of any gun with one is doing this. It's really annoying on the PS5 Pro version of the game. Haven't seen this on PC so far.

Maximillian, Vara and Drdisrespect was also fun watching playing re9, and they are good. I got some tips and tactics from them.

I saw some of her pics, yeah i can tell why you are a fanboy of her 🥲

It's her gaming skill prowess, isn't?!
Yes her gaming skills, charm, and love for RE and for some educational purposes which you know 😁 By the way her body was use as a model for Ashley for Re4 remake.

I dont like Dood, he is too much of a Capcom simp, Drdisrespect is too loud and idk Vara.

Mati is more of casual sharing his gameplay.
