• Hey Guest. Check out your NeoGAF Wrapped 2025 results here!

What is your the most anticipated game as of right now?

RE9 perhaps but it's nothing like I used to look forward to games. Kinda miss a big overarching storyline where you can't wait to see what happens next. We used to have tons of these games.

I know I already said 007 (besides GTA6, of course)

But I'd throw in a curveball here as well with Big Walk...

Announced/Shown before Friend slop really took off, and it looks like a genuine, well-thought-out well-made game rather than these other friend slop games which are.... well... slop

It gives off the Witness vibes, which co-op sounds awesome.

hmm has to be the DQ7 remake as thats all I know off right now that excites me thats REAL, but I am hoping there will be some announced at the game awards next week.

For next year Blood of the Dawnwalker, as for longer, The Witcher 4 definitely, yeah TES 6 and Fallout 5, god knows when, a new Dishonored, and some remasters of games i play a lot of, as for HL3, seeing is believing.

1. Virtua Fighter 6
2. GTA6
3. Crimson Desert
4. Witcher 4
5. RE9
6. Light no Fire
7. Showa an American Story

The next single player focussed game from From Software would be right up there too but nothings been announced yet.

I think only GTA6 if I think about it, there's other games that I'm interested in but nothing I'm overly excited over, at least nothing in the near future.

ReAnimal
Light No Fire
Falling Frontier
CONTROL Resonant
Frostpunk Remake
Warhammer 40K Mechanicus 2

Wishful thinking :
IXION 2
XCOM 3
Starcraft 2 Expansions
and Wolverine if its as good as GoW-2018

Most anticipated game that has been announced?

Can't decide between Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War IV and Dragon Quest XII

Even after TGA my list hasn't changed.

2026 is looking to be a great year. My personal list in order of anticipation

1: Ontos
2: Saros
3: Control: Resonant
4: Total War: Warhammer 40,000 (2026?)
5: Ace Combat 8

Honorable mention: 007 - Lenny Kravitz

The sad part is that I had to think about this a lot because not much was coming to mind. Normally GTA 6 would be front and center but I just don't think they will evolve the gameplay at all and I'm afraid it will be woke and unfunny.

So really the only game I'm super hyped about, for now anyway, is CyberPunk 2, but that's probably 4 or 5 years away. Of course this is based of CP2077 and the PL dlc which were phenomenal but who knows what the sequel will be like, especially moving over to UE.

In terms of something that releases this year, the only game I'm looking forward to would be Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter.

I'm pretty hyped for RE9 and Crimsom Desert, but I gotta go with First Light here.

Been dying for an action packed game since Uncharted basically died.

I think this is it.

Titanfall 3, despite Respawn being a shadow of their former selves.

If we only include announced titles, FE Fortune's Weave

Nothing that has been announced but new entries in series of what will eventually be release is what I'm most anticipating like:
  • devil may cry
  • dragon quest
  • final fantasy
  • zelda
  • ratchet and clank

While I've had issues with past games of the first 3 titles mentioned, I'm still curious what they will do in those series. Like what will they be able to make after all they have learned in making the ff7 trilogy or what will a new massive, upgraded, up to date dragon quest be like. I just want a new devil may cry game period. I really wish they would release them more quickly with an understanding they will only make so much money on these games. I'm always interested in the next zelda game even if I never play them after I buy them. I want to see what is possible for a ratchet and clank game. An honorable mention for a game that will not be continued is the next mega man legends game. I'd also love a new infamous second son game. I'd also like a new Bayonetta game although I still need to buy that spin off game.

With that said even if I'm not anticipating any announced games I'll still be buying quite a few of them this year.

Right now it's a tie between these as I'm really looking forward to all 4:

Marathon
Crimson Desert
Total War Warhammer 40K
Forza Horizon 6

There's a bunch of games I'm looking forward to right now:
Control
Fable
Tomb Raider
GTA
Halo
Star Wars Galactic Racer
Star Wars Jedi (Respawn)
Subnautica

Fragile Existence
Beyond Astra
Falling Frontier
The Last General
Systemic War
Ashes of the Singularity

GTA6, RE9, Crimson Desert, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, FFVII Remake Part 3, Witcher 4, and the Next Big Game from FromSoftware.

silent hill 1 remake. imagine a fully explorable old silent hill and central silent hill, kaufmann and lisa, puppet nurses and doctors, alessa, and cybil

GTA 6.

Also Interested to see if Gears E-Day makes it this year and if there are any significant improvements from the last game. I hope it is more than a better looking version of what has come before.

Peak and Big Walk are future facing genres. Next big thing type formulas.

Blood of the Dawnwalker
Crimson Desert
MGS Master Collection Vol 2
GTA 6

In that order I'd say. GTA has been delayed so many times that I no longer care about it until I actually have a copy of it in my hands.
