This was the best weekend I've had in a while. My buddy came to town to do an open mic night. There were a lot of really talented people performing. I want to check it out again in the future.

I think I'm going to do a solo road trip over Thanksgiving. We get 2 days off so I don't have to take any vacation time. Plus I have no plans so why not.

Not sure yet. Basically going to limit myself to a 6-hour radius for car travel. I'd book a flight but the shutdown is too risky with flight cancellations.

Everything is open except for federal buildings. Open air parks that are National like St Augustine should still be accessible but I would not expect Ranger tours or things like that. Florida has a lot of fun state parks like Homasassa Springs, Silver Springs WikiWachi.
If you are going to amusement parks should all be good.
Everglades, you could do a boat tour I assume as they are private companies but Visitor centers closed.

Today I visited the Akumal Monkey Sanctuary and I got pee'd on by a monkey.
We were warned before hand that there was a chance that we'd get pee'd/shit on.
It was a group tour with a bunch of people and the Little bastard decided to jump up to the ropes above where I was sitting and just started going.
This is when I learned that some monkeys wash their hands in pee. This was before the monkey crawled over my my head.
This was not the monkey that peed on me, but is the same species.

Dude dental work sucks. I lost a few teeth due to chemo over the years, and I've probably had $100k worth of dental work done, including two full implants.Sigh. Appointment for teeth implants in Istanbul is October next year. I look like Cletus. I was already called the redneck so it doesn't help.
Ironically, those are my two best teeth lol. I wish I could just knock all of them out and get them all replaced, and never have to worry about the dentist again.
