I think I'm gonna have to borrow a potato from a peasant next year.

There's a lot just in the first 3 months alone...

1. Saros- Returnal is GOG material Saros might be better...
2. 007 First light- Gameplay demonstration was the most impressive I've seen in a while. Hitman combined with Uncharted is such a natural fit
3. Oniiusha Way of the Sword- I'm sick of soulslikes combat looking to shake things up. Hacking off limbs is always satisfying
4. Pragmata- Really interesting combat hopefully it works through a whole game
5. Resident Evil Requiem- I think RE is my favorite franchise ever. Hopefully this is most like RE2 remake
6. Phantom Blade X- Combat animation is unmatched. Hopefully it feels fun to play. While I'm sick of soulslike combat there needs to be more soulslike level design.
7. Wolervine- Here for the graphics/blood and gore! Hopefully combat is NOT freeform.
8. Intergalatic- Very curious to see what the gameplay is
9. Crimson Desert- Ambitious as hell. Hopefully the amount of mechanics aren't overwhelming.

999. GTA6-just here for the graphics. I have ZERO and I mean ZERO confidence Rockstar can design good feeling gameplay. It will have huge gameplay issues but still get a sickening 95% + metacritic.

Saros is the clear number 1 for me, The other games are more interchangeable I'am sure there are other games I've missed...it's gonna be a good year!

not much currently, at least from the AAA studios.

I'm excited for more Rogue Trader DLC's I guess.

Confirmed only? That's difficult. No game that interests me has any confirmation.

1. Archaelund
2. Stranger Than Heaven
3. Clockwork Revolution
4. Solasta 2
5. Underrail 2
6. Call of Saregnar
7. Project Haven
8. Pathbreakers

Nothing has me excited. With luck some of those releases will surprise me.

1. RE9
2. Onimusha: Way of the Sword
3. Nioh 3
4. Gears of War: E-Day
5. Forza Horizon 6
6. GTA 6
7. Crimson Desert
8. Pragmata
9. Lego Batman: Legacy of The Dark Knight
10. 007 First Light

1. Grand Theft Auto VI - This is a given for the number one slot. It's Rockstar, they always push the medium forward and we'll have waited 8 years since their last game.
2. Nioh 3 - The beta was amazing, I must've sunk 6 hours into that small area. I am locked in on day one.
3. Resident Evil Requiem - RE has been firing on all cylinders for years, i'd be shocked if it disappoints. Replaying the series right now in anticipation.
4. Forza Horizon 6 - I can't wait to see what they do with setting, this series is primed for touge and JDM racing. I will be muting the radio and blasting the Initial D soundtrack.
5. Dragon Quest VII Reimagined - That video they put out showing them building the character models as physical dolls and then scanning them into the game world instantly sold me.
6. Onimusha: Way of the Sword - Used to be a huge fan of the series. I'm a bit skeptical about the combat direction but I can't not be there for it.
7. and 8. New Virtua Fighter Project & Marvel TĹŤkon: Fighting Souls - I'll say this up front: the reason for putting these together is that I really do not give a shit about fighting games. The fact that there are two of them next year, which in the little shown have already piqued my interest, says a lot.
9. Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake - Say what you will about remakes, some of the best games of the last few years have been horror remakes and this looks very good.
10. Rhythm Heaven Groove - Finally Nintendo remembered this series exists.

Games confirmed for release only

9. Gears of War: E-Day (PS5)

I know you're in a frenzy right now, but E-day is not confirmed for release on PS5 yet.

Neither is Forza Horizon 6 for PS5 for 2026, for that matter.

No particular order
  • Professor Layton and the New World of Steam
  • Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties - technically two games but they're part of the same package
  • 007: First Light
  • Grand Theft Auto VI
  • The Blood of Dawnwalker
  • Persona 4 Revival
  • Gothic Remake
  • Exodus
  • Clockwork Revolution
  • Gears of War: E-Day

007
Wolverine
Wolf Among Us
Crimson Desert
Saros

Then HUGE drop in interest

Mario Tennis
Forza
GTA 6

I keep an eye on 007 First Light, Nioh 3, Romeo is a dead man, Onimsuha, Pragmata, Atomic Heart 2 (i'm talking about reasonable releases not things we haven't even seen like Gears E-Day), and i will probably play GTA 6 even if i don't really give a fuck at the moment

but i don't really have anticipated games anymore

You know I'm right, baby :goog_blowing_kiss:

Let it go mate, Friday happened, no more red lines, Microsoft's big games are coming day and date across Xbox, PC and PlayStation.

Let's support good Microsoft games together. Let's support Halo and Gears returning to their glorious roots together.

You know why? Because we're partners…

So far I'm only really hyped for
-Nioh 3: Loved and 1 and 2, and the demo was great
-Threads of Time: Beautiful looking Chrono Trigger Inspired JRPG.
-The Eternal Life of Goldman: Still not sure if it's a metroidvania or more of an action platformer. Either way it's a 2D game with gorgeous hand drawn animation.

There's a lot of other games for which I'm "Cautiously optimistic" but not quite sold yet, like:

- 007: Looks like a mix of Hitman Style levels with Uncharted style setpiece action. But the performance on the gameplay showcase looked absolutely awful, so hopefully they can fix that
- Crimson Desert: Looks like a cool open world with fun combat and nice presentation, but I worry they'll try to do too much and we'll end up with a game with 100 mediocre mechanics instead of 10 really well executed ones.
- Onimusha: Looks fun but Capcom has let me down a bunch of times in recent years so I'm expecting "good but not great" from this.
-Judas: I'm interested because it's Ken Levine, but the fact it's some sort of roguelite really lowered my hype.
- The Blood of Dawnwaker: Not fully sold yet but I like the people making the game and the latest gameplay with the improved camera looked much better. Could still end up being janky though.
- Saros: I liked the gameplay in Returnal but I thought it was a bad roguelite. My interest in this largely depends on how well they execute the Roguelite design this time around.
- Phantom Blade 0 and Tides of Annihilation: These Chinese actions games are pretty hit or miss, and if they are UE5 they'll probably run like shit on Ps5 and be an easy skip. But at least on paper both look cool.
-GTAVI: I'm curious about the tech and seeing what Rockstar will deliver after so long and with a supposedly massive budget. But I've never relaly been that much into GTA, I always find the gameplay and mission design really bland.

3. Marvel Tokon (PS5)

8. 007: First Light (PS5)
9. Marathon (PS5)
10. Gears of War: E-Day (PS5)

I could add here 5 or 10 more easily in that later part of the top 10 that I look forward. It's going to be a great year.

11. Phantom Blade 0 (PS5)
12. Halo CE (PS5)
13. New Virtua Fighter (PS5)
14. Forza Horizon 6 (PS5)

I'm also looking forward to GTA and RE and Crimson Desert and what have you btw. They just don't make for a very interesting list.

I genuinely dont really look forward to game releases anymore. Certainly not counting down the days until release.
I think Cyberpunk and Starfield were the last games i were genuinely excited for, and both games didnt exactly turn out like i was hoping.
