Nope. I don't care about the improvements, as long as I can play the games I am fine with the base console.... Heck, if there was a weaker cheaper ps5 I would buy it over the current one.

If I cared about graphics and stuff I would play everything on pc.

I don't know, at first I was like yes but then I thought, why?
"Because I want thing to look better? or because I want 60fps minimum, or both?"

So I still don't know.

Same excuse as upgrading a PC I guess, why? to run new/cutting edge stuff maxed out.
I guess in PS5 terms, so it's not struggling to run current gen games a few years out as we're seeing now.

But that's more on devs I think, I think they're using much more powerful hardware to hide the need to optimise as much as they used to and go "oh well, job done".
You can't afford one .

I'm gonna tell myself I want one, then when it comes to pull the trigger I'll think..."hmm...I could just use that money to upgrade my PC, what games are worth having it for?" and then realize everything I want is still on PC and better played on that platform.

Though, I will say, I might pick one up for my Dad so we can finally play Baldur's Gate 3 together. I've been wanting to co-op that game with him for a while.

One? I'm gonna get like 50 of them and scalp them to all the people who commented before me. Let's make bank together, Sony!

currently have a second gaming setup on a desk I use exclusively for shmups but I’m running with an old ps4 slim.
Getting a PS5 pro would allow me to move my launch PS5 to the desk setup so yes I’ll get one

Although I don’t have a Ps5 yet, not sure if I’d upgrade if I had one. But my plan for now is to pick it up alongside the Portal.

It should be an investment, not a laosy 8k30 oriented machine, it's like one of the old frames slider boxes, not a real TV.

Probably not. Mostly play PC these days. Occasionally fire up the PS5 for Gran Turismo 7 lately, but really I'm only keeping it around for Death Stranding 2 I reckon. Playstation has been a disappointment this gen and that's not due to the console

I dunno man. I mean, if it's gonna be a gen of remasters of remasters, and PS4/5 patch-a-thon to tart things up for the pro, probably not. Waste of fuckin money. Gonna have to wait on potential games and hardware confirmation. I don't really give a fuck about ray tracing or any of that bollocks, so if that's the main "reveal" then it's a no from me.

Anyone that has an answer for sure right now is insane. We barely know anything about it and there are no games on the horizon to justify it. I’m a huge slut for Nintendo and think I am going to get their next console, but I am not sure yet because there’s no info. And that’s an entire next gen system - not just a minor upgrade. You guys need help - maybe this is the behavior Sony saw that made them go crazy the last few years.

I'm not a Sony bro, but I will probably upgrade to a PS5 Pro just because it's going to be the best place to play GTA VI when it releases. There's no way I'm waiting a year for the PC version and risking getting spoiled.

I will. No midgen update on Xbox (by that I mean a Pro equivalent) plus they're publishing their stuff on other systems has caused me to shift away from that ecosystem. I've had a PS since launch and having seen both comparably for a few years now has been interesting, but I'd like a bit more oomph if possible like PS4 Pro and 1X. I'm just hoping for something to beef up the Rez and framerates of already released games even if it is AI in nature.

Also very interested in how the system looks compared to the other models. I don't plan on selling or trading my original model as I've been sharing it with my girlfriend all the time.

No, I’m going to keep my regular ps5. The only games use it for are:

Gran Turismo 7
Star Ocean 5
13 Sentinels
Dragon’s Crown Pro
Unicorn Overlord

ALL the other games I owned on the system have come to PC or been announced for PC. Gran Turismo 7 is the only graphically intensive exclusive I have left and with Sony planning to bring PSVR2 to PC then even that is heavily rumored to come to PC as well.

The PS5 is a great console but I really have no need to spend more on a Pro for the few exclusives I play on it.

Difficult question. If GTA VI doesn't run at 60fps then not. But I'll probably buy it anyway because I won't wait that long to find out.

But building a new gaming PC would make more sense. With the parts I'm choosing the gaming PC would still be miles better than a PS6.
