I was waiting for a bug-free experience, now I'm waiting for an expansion pack+new police system, which probably bring new bugs. This is getting interesting.

Might as well wait for Cyberpunk 2078 at this point.

Not gonna lie: I´m hyped as fuck!

They hopefully learned their lesson and will deliver a 100% finished product. They need a homerun. The stock is still struggling and the media perception and attention will be through the roof. They have to be smart.

Agreed on every front. Looks to be next-gen only as well, which pleases the shit out of me.

Stoked! Mentioned in previous threads I jumped back into this at the start of the year, and fucking loved it! (Originally bought day 1 and was so let down). Keen to dive back in with a whole new plot.

Keen to see how they revamp the police system. I assume that’s coming with the expansion. It’s definitely one area that needs some more elbow grease to get it where it needs to be.

I wonder how this expansion fits in with the base game. Not sure how to do spoiler tags so will refrain saying anymore!

So it's not DLC but will be a separate expansion?

What are they going to do for people who bought the super duper deluxe version (or whatever they decided to call it) on last gen consoles?

I'll believe it when I see it.

Which is ridiculous condisering how much it cost.

But whatever the suckers knew what they were getting.

There was only 2 editions for this game:

regular for $59.99
collectors edition for $249.99 (limited quantities)

There was no deluxe, special digital edition, keanu reeves edition, season pass edition, neither digital or physical.

Whew. They didn't tone down the edginess one bit. Will be playing it the minute it's playable on Steam. Worth it for the soundtrack alone.

This game will be good eventually, but by then I will have lost all interest to revisit it. Number one issue for me is the pointless open world. Doesn't sound like they are doing much of anything to address that.
This is such a nonsense complaint to me. There's so much to do in Night City, tons of secrets to find, it's all incredibly dense. One of the best open worlds ever. The criticisms I hear are mostly things that no game actually does.

Now, granted, the police system is very half assed so if you specifically mean GTA-style mayhem when you do something illegal, then yes, that's missing. But that's different than pretending like the world isn't packed with stuff to do and extremely well designed.

Not sure we played the same game, because I found zero things of interest in the open world. It was all just a lot of uninteractive geometry with pointless npcs.

More like big fuck you to users? Is this world first when a company released an expansion exclusively for some systems?
Not at all, I distinctly remember Bioware dropping support for lastgen and releasing Dragon Age 3 DLCs only on then new consoles.

Also, this is just CDP fixing their greatest mistake. Never should have launched on lastgen in the first place.

If there are any poor players on 2013 hardware who cannot even afford 300 buck Xbox SS, then there is always the 15 buck Geforce Now or Stadia option.

No problem with actors doing work in video games they’re trying to make money too.

Yeah a lot of people seemed to like his performance in this game but I found it unbearably cringe tryhard.
Thing is, Silverhand IS that kind of person, tryhard, obnoxious, all edgy.

It would be one thing if he acted that way and the story just went along "agreeing" with his attitude as if he's some sort of badass, but it doesn't. His attitude is shallow and so were his actions in the past, but the story, and eventually Silverhand himself, recognize that and play those aspects into the story's overall development.
So that in turn makes him into a good character.

Yup, he's a tryhard but also a relic of a bygone era, which he doesn't realize at first.
Doing all of his quests reveals so much about him and it literally redeemed him in my eyes.

Despite Cyberpunk 2077 dropping in hotter than an exploding sun, I still had a grand time with it. I put over 40 hours into it so I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it all patched up. Also Johnny Silverhand coming back for Phantom LIberty is

Good. Fucking. Shit.

I don't buy DLC or expansions, but since this is my favorite game, I can't see myself not getting this. Although, now I wonder when would this take place and which ending of the game is this following? Interesting..

Literally every urban open world game has uninteractive geometry and pointless NPCs. The idea that you would have fully destructible buildings or that every NPC would tell a story is just a completely absurd standard to hold any game to.

But the fact is, there are literally hundreds of points of interest to find on the map. If you explore at all, you're gonna find hidden items, or stumble into crimes, or gang fights, or cyberpsychos, or theft opportunities, there are literally hundreds of points of interest all over the map. Saying there's zero points of interest is just dumb and incorrect, unless you literally didn't even play past the prologue.

I played well past the prologue. None of the open world content, when there was any, was fun to engage with. Maybe I missed some, but it seemed like the most pointless part of the game. It would have been much improved if it was a more linear experience imo.

So you didn't like all the shooting, stealthing and storying in a game about shooting, stealthing and storying. Maybe you just bought the wrong game?

I thought the main story content was good, the rest was weak and seemed an afterthought.

like Ubisoft has done time and time again with their duds.
When has Ubisoft put out a massive AAA single player game and then years later was putting out patches to make the AI of something like police exist or something? So I call bullshit on that one.

I don't think we've seen something like this from any of the major publishers before.

You guys are basically waiting for AI to be added at this point that should have been there day 1.
its an expansion not a dlc
So....DLC? So this isn't content that can be downloaded? =)
Also, this is just CDP fixing their greatest mistake. Never should have launched on lastgen in the first place.

Nah, their mistake was lying about this games content, rushing its release and a whole slew of other things. How come many publishers had no issue putting out open world games last gen with working AI? You telling me you NEED a PS5 and Series X to have cop chases and normal AI?

So CDPR might NEED next gen for some elements, but this game was fucking made for last gen, its development literally started at the start of last gen, their issues have to do with the publisher and how they funded this project more then it does PS4 and XONE as you guys have to help me understand what fucking voodoo is having Watchdogs 3, Ghost Of Tsushima, Red Dead Redemption 2 etc run on those systems. You can blame last gen for some elements, but this games issues go beyond simply last gen limitations

That being said....this DLC better fucking be free. I'm not paying a cent extra for a early access title, you don't charge people full price and then give half a game and then piece meal out features like this that should be in the game day 1 like AI and basic combat elements.

I don't remember now but did any version of the game have a Season Pass/Expansion as an add-on?

Lol there never was a season pass.

No idea. If there wasn't one then maybe they knew what was coming and decided against it.

No there was not

Sigh...

Joke is of course they are having to refund people the cost of the expansion now as its confirmed the console will be unable to run the expansion.

Yeah, long and epic sidequests with their own characters and choices, as well as gigs with whole areas designed just for them, showing off just how good the level and mission design in this game can be (as well as smaller narratives of their own) are just an "afterthought". Even the NCPD hustlers, each and every one of them has their own backstory + enviromental storytelling.

Calling all of that an "afterthought" is just an insult to the people who wrote and designed this stuff.

I forgot about all that lol, but it was all the way back in 2020 though so...

Add this to another list of lies and future lawsuit I guess lol This reminds me of when EA got sued for promising some early content thing for Battlefield 3 for PS3 or something, I don't recall the details, but they ended up being sued, yet some of the shit CDPR is doing literally is worse then even some of the shit EA is doing lol

edit, it was this .
