DRAGONS DOGMA 2 Has Been Announced

Dragon's Dogma rocked and I'm excited for the sequel. The main thing I want to see is for the game to be harder and for the NPCs to stop repeating themselves a million times. Like I get it, they're master works all and I can't go wrong, I need to beware the harpy's song and no matter what I'm fighting I should always sever the tail. You don't have to keep telling me.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
#TeamRelease2023, I believe.

Nooo please, don't touch the pawn bantering! Or well, maybe they could speak a little bit less often, but I really loved their bantering while adventuring through Gransis or fighting enemies. Added a lot to the experience, making yourself feel part of an actual party instead of just being followed by three empty husks.

I agree with the difficulty part tho, hope they get to balance that better next time.
Specially for human bosses... that Salomet guy went down like a bitch.

I dunno, i get where you're coming from, but that's kind of the point of pawns, lore-wise. They are basically blank slates that learn and advance throughout the journey, until well... you know. It'd be cool if they tapered off the simple monster weaknesses like goblins and harpies when you're in mid-end game, or if they changed their advice to be more specific or dynamic, but I like the chatter.

I do hope they rework the way stat growth works upon leveling. I'd rather just get stat point to allocate how I see fit instead of having it be tied to the class I'm currently playing.
The one thing I never liked about DD is having to play as a class I don't really care about to get better stats for the class I actually want to play as. I guess it's made that way to incentivize people to use multiple classes, but I hate the system, I've usually used mods to get past it on more recent playthroughs.

Yea I think we'll see a lot of improvements on half baked systems like that. I appreciate that they tried a lot of new things in DD, but sometimes if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Even letting you 'reset' would be a big improvement.

I personally hope that they don't make fast travel easier or more available. The journeys from one place to another, particularly if you had to go through night, were some of my favorite memories of DD. I kinda like the idea of setting up a camp and defending it as a sort of mini-game or something.
