Bethesda is "putting the finishing touches on Starfield"

I imagine finishing touches on something that can easily be played for over 200 hours probably takes longer than finishing touches on a linear cinematic adventure game.

I've been working on application for the last 3 years. I'm in the phase of finishing touches and plugging in translation (I want to launch with 3 languages to start with). Sadly, haters here have no idea how hard it is to polish software. Most of them probably never wrote a single line of code, never developed or launched anything.

Super excited for Starfield!

What I find interesting about people always trying to associate Bethesda with buggy games is the fact that many of the very people in this thread behaving like Bethesda always releases games with bugs, some of their own favorite game developer's most recent major titles - this includes Sony first Party also - have launched with major bugs present at launch.
There is a difference between Bethesda developed and Bethesda published. Their other studios (Arkane, iD, Machine Games, etc) they publish were a lot more polished than Bethesda developed.

This has nothing to do with your silly little console war injection, and has ALWAYS been a meme with them since Morrowind.

Man, it is so easy to spot the Sony warriors in this forum, any news about Xbox gets blasted with Lol emojis from those sad losers.
This isn’t exactly fair. This isn’t a direct attack on XBOX or MS.
Be honest, Todd has promised the earth in the past, then delivers bug ridden games which then expects the community to fix. I don’t see this negativity any different than BF2042. If you’re going to promise the earth and charge £69.99 for it, you better damn well deliver. The disappointing thing is, Bethesda create some of the most incredible worlds and environments, only to rip you out of the experience with their jank.

No truer word ever been spoken!

Hmph...
So you delay the game by up to 3months...and you're already doing finishing touches 6 months before the original release date? Something doesn't add up here.

I want to see actual gameplay on the 12th. That I believe will silence all the nay sayers if they deliver.

Has Bethesda ever released a game that didn't contain game breaking bugs or generally needed more QA post prod time? I've seen CyberPunk used as a benchmark, I don't think the game will release in that same state, but there is probably going to still be issues/bugs when it eventually is. I guess you'll just have to realize it would have been worse if it released this year

Fallout 4 was fine on launch. not perfect, but in line with your average, far less complex game.

I was hyped for fallout 4. I ended up skipping because my backlog was too out of control. Ultimately, I ended up never getting it. I think I watch Many A True Nerd playthrough it and thought it as good enough.

there isn't any problem with that.
Stop trolling Xbox stuff thread you being annoying for the community
WTF, I'm referring to the leak from a few weeks back. Like you would know anything specific about it.

But stay triggered and fragile if you want.

I just said there was a leak you muppet - there was even a thread about it 🤦

Take your meltdown elsewhere, and don't derail the thread.
do I repeat it again? Do you need someone to tell you the truth to your face? no one takes your false concerns about anything Xbox-related seriously. You are a Sony fanboy and everyone knows it. Stop trolling Xbox threads it is annoying. Let's the thread go ahead now

You're repeating the same tired nonsense.

You've come in started something out of nothing from a post made several days ago, are derailing the thread, and your immaturity is really starting to show.

Xbox CEO Phil Spencer believes Starfield will be a "hallmark for us" following the Bethesda acquisition

Oh these fucking overly long games. Why can't they make 20 hour long AAA games? Why do they want people to spend ALL their fucking spare time in a fucking game?

2 things after the reveal I found interesting, there are no alien races and there was not a release date attached at the end. Someone start a thread, I bet its pushed til end of 23 which is crazy.

Got a really bad feeling this game if going to bomb when it releases, haven't heard a single good thing about it since it was announced

No matter how bad you want it to fail, no matter how much you pray to whatever god you believe in, no matter how many posts you make on this forum, both as a noble and as a troll, Starfield will not fail.

Even if the reviews are mediocre, even if the public reaction is lukewarm, the game will still make oodles and oodles of cash for Microsoft. And even if it doesn't, you'll never know about it, because Microsoft will just cover it all up and tout its success, regardless.

Now, knowing that you have no control over this matter, have zero industry connections to tell you otherwise, you can act accordingly.

It's interesting how you've posted this 30 minutes after it's been proven what I've been trying to tell people about this game is true, really interesting

And delusions of grandeur, too. Why am I not surprised?

Anyway, please get back to warning all those innocent people out there about the perceived mediocrity of a game you haven't played. Truly the Lord's work.

It'll have to eventually launch everywhere if that's to happen. And with streaming you don't own it. I don't see that happening.
I can see it doing 40-50 million sales just on PC alone if it is a masterpiece of a game
The potential in Starfield with Mods with the 1000 plus planets is limitless
Imagine when the modders mod out an entire planet seriously thinking about this possibility is making me so hype

Yeah but skyrim had some pretty great mods too. And how many releases did it take for skyrim to get to where it's at? At least 10.

Starfield has xbox series and pc. Counting re-releases it'll still struggle to get to 10 between two platforms.

I believe Skyrim had already sold over 20 million copies before it ever had a re-release
