Reviews Roundup

Comicbook.com - 90/100
Whether you're playing it to stay occupied until Diablo IV comes out or playing it out of excitement, Diablo Immortal is simply worth playing.

Android Central - 80/100

When Blizzard first announced Diablo Immortal, fans were a bit wary about whether the game could live up to the Diablo name. Thankfully, not only does the game present a classic Diablo experience in a smaller form but it does so nearly flawlessly, albeit with a sharper focus on grinding than any other Diablo game.
PCMag - 80/100 (4/5 starts)
Diablo Immortal is an excellent mobile spin on Blizzard's classic, dungeon-crawling action, but the game's grind means that you may need to stick with it for the long haul to fully appreciate the experience.

iMore - 80/100

Diablo Immortal successfully brings the iconic hack-and-slash formula to mobile devices without compromise, though the free-to-play model may prove irritating.
CGMagazine - 75/100
Diablo Immortal blends classic gameplay with the free-to-play formula, and almost delivers a complete knockout mobile experience.

I would compare this with Diablo 3.
It feels, sounds, looks similar. Its been over a decade since I played D3 so I may be wearing nostalgia glasses.
Ive put in enough hours to have to recharge my phone 3 times. My Iphone 8 feels hot after playing. My battery gets about 3 hours before needing to recharge after this game.
Ive not yet hit any paywall.

I'm genuinely impressed with what I have played so far.

I never thought I'd say that over a mobile game, but my younger brother said I need to check it out.

Been playing it since yesterday myself, the game is impressive. It is similar to D3 and is quite beautiful too. I would recommend everyone to try this one out.

Yeah from what little video I’ve seen this looks like Diablo iii 2

The game is fantastic! I dumped thousand of hours into D3 playing this yesterday did feel very much like D3. Not at end game yet so I cannot comment on how aggressive the MTX is.
What surprised me was how seamless the multiplayer is. Your town is filled with players (a lot like Guild Wars or Lost Ark) and joining a game is super simple.
Also, massive props to their voice support, it is crazy impressive to me for the mobile version of the game.

I forget where I read it, but there was an article about the monetization and they deemed it pay to win because the only way to get an item that increases or guarantees Legendary loot drops costs money. . .because of course it does. You aren't locked out of any content and aren't gated from running as many of these end-game rifts as you want so, unlike something like LOST ARK, time really is the only required resource. It reminds me of WARFRAME in that you can either grind endlessly for a RHINO chassis, and then idle while the complete Warframe is built, or just buy the fucking thing outright.

. . .honestly, from the way they have the MTX set up, it really only sounds like the most hardcore players who want to be tops in each league and PvP are goin gto be the ones fixated on making the min-max process as efficient as possible. Which I think is a fair target for "time saver" MTX.

Has it released on PC yet? I may give this a try.

Why even go there in the first place?

. . .like clockwork.
