Don't know why you have to wait that long. You can pick some up for 2.99

Well boys, file this one under the development hell/talent loss/infinite delay folder. Seriously, anytime I hear a studio label themselves "AAAA" and gleefully tout it, I immediately doubt that studios ability to deliver. A king doesn't need to remind people he's the king. I don't know, maybe they are the exception, but it hasn't worked out for others thus far speaking similar language.

But this time they're promising "the highest level of quality" and "distinguished action mechanics"!

DISTINGUISHED ACTION MECHANICS!

Surely they're gonna deliver. Grossly overpromising has never NOT worked out.

Any company that claim theur games are "AAAA" is one i dont trust. As they clealy have no idea what the "A" term means.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
This is peak marketing cringe.

Games should speak by themselves, and this kind of claims make me think that whatever they are working on must be ass.

Bet a hundred bucks it will be a fucking success?

"Among others working on the game include Steve Papoutsis, who also co-developed the Dead Space series and led the series following Schofield's departure from Visceral; Scott Whitney, a designer on the Dead Space series; and Christopher Stone, the animation director for the former series. Of the 150 employees of Striking Distance, Schofield said that about 25 to 30 former coworkers from Visceral Games and Sledgehammer Games are part of Striking Distance working on The Callisto Protocol."

I have full confidence in this game. I'm sure Krafton isn't meddling like EA. This will be the Dead Space 3 we always knew they could make.

If I could give you like, the Praise the Sun / Fire / Bro Handshake and Thumbs Up emojis all at the same time ...

I would.

You know, if the "A's" were tied to an objective measure, say development (not marketing) budget, then it'd be less annoying when developers use it for marketing hype. As it is, it's like hearing kids one-up each other in make-believe:"Nuh uh, you didn't kill me because I have infinity-plus-one magic." "Oh yeah, bitch? Well now I've got infinity-plus-one-PLUS-one power so fuck you."

Here's my tier suggestions--basically exponential increases:
Single A: Under $1M
AA: $2-10M
AAA: $10-$100M
AAAA: $100M+

That puts something like Watch Dogs at AAA, and GTA V, Red Dead 2, and Cyberpunk at AAAA.

I want to be excited but they need to show some longer gameplay bits. This can end up being a mediocre or bad game very easily (I wish the devs the best ofc).

Wanted to see Perfect Dark as the first ever AAAA game but this will probably the first one to show us what they actually are!

If you have to use budget as an aspect to hype up your game, it's probably gonna be ass.
You might have missed a recent thread about AAA events on Fortnite. Devs say what gamers want to hear. It’s all about how nothing is AAA enough these days. Less than 80 million spent? Indie newbs. And let me still complain about games taking 5 years to release.

Nope it wasn’t!
Agree to disagree.

From budget to sheer amount of microdetails and number of motion captured scenes, to a less than tertiary animal ecosystem more complex than full hunting games to many other things, the game is still unrivaled today and it's gonna be unrivaled until gta6 come out.

We can argue about gameplay, pacing, movements etc. But nothing come close to rdr2 in many many aspects, and those aspects are clearly dictated by how much manpower\time\money were put into the game.
